Crema's Take

This Brooklyn gem specializes in rare Yemeni coffee traditions like Adeni Chai and Sana'ani that you won't find elsewhere, served in a warmly aromatic space that feels like stepping into a different culture entirely. The vibe is deliberately social and convivial—expect the gentle hum of conversation and people lingering over matcha lattes and house-made pastries rather than hushed silence, making it perfect for both meaningful meetups and solo work sessions. What really sets it apart is how seriously they take both their coffee craft and their pastries, with reviewers consistently raving about the quality of everything from the espresso to the strawberry matcha to the Danish selections.

Best Adeni Chai in Brooklyn. Great snacks. Great ambience. Great place to read or finish up a bit of work. Lots of socializing going on too so don't expect a quiet atmosphere.

Such a cute cozy tea shop. I purchased a dragon fruit refresher, a strawberry matcha, a lemon cake, a spinach danish and a maple pecan danish. The strawberry matcha was like velvet. It was honestly the best strawberry matcha I have ever had. The spinach croissant was delicious, flavorful and STUFFED. The maple pecan was delicious but sadly there were no pecans in mine. Though it was extremely flaky and warm. The lemon cake was moist. While I was waiting, someone ordered a pot of hot adeni chai that looked marvelous, so I purchased one iced. The chai was robust, not overly sweet, and aromatic. It was strong as well which was perfect!

Qahwah House Coffee is a warm and inviting place with a cozy atmosphere that makes it easy to relax. The space smells amazing from the moment you walk in, with the aroma of fresh coffee and traditional spices filling the air. The décor is simple but tasteful, giving the café a calm and comfortable feel. The coffee itself is the highlight — rich, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. Their traditional options stand out from typical coffee shops, and everything tastes fresh and well balanced. It’s a great spot to sit for a bit, enjoy a cup, and take a break from the day. Overall, Qahwah House offers a unique coffee experience with great flavors, friendly service, and a relaxing environment. A solid stop if you’re looking for something different from the usual chain cafés.

Qahwah House is a fantastic find! They offer incredibly aromatic Yemeni coffee specialties like the Adeni Chai and Sana'ani, providing a totally unique flavor experience. Crucially, the dessert options are abundant and divine—you cannot leave without trying the amazing Pistachio Dream Cake or the flaky Sabaya. Great coffee, great treats, great atmosphere. Go now!

If you are a coffee connoisseur this is the place for you. Coffee was the best I’ve had since being in New York. The barista Amr made a perfect Latte! The moment you walk in and understand their deep connection with coffee making. You know you’re in good hands.
