Crema's Take
“Sawyer's is a beautifully curated neighborhood gem that blends cafe culture with market sensibilities, offering elevated espresso drinks alongside fresh locally-made pastries and light bites that feel as thoughtful as the space itself. The vibe is genuinely cozy and unhurried—think old-timey charm meets contemporary care—making it equally perfect for a solo work session, a date night, or just lingering over a coffee in Providence's West End. Staff warmth and attention to detail shine throughout, creating that rare cafe experience where everything from the drinks to the ambiance feels intentional and special.”

The BEST spot in town✨Sawyer’s has everything we wanted: espresso, absolutely delicious food, perfect and special natural wines, friendly staff… vibes. Get the breakfast sandwich (my husband recommends) and the hot cocoa (toddler approved). I would literally come for breakfast, work from home in the afternoon, happy hour, then hit up one of their amazing Sunday dinner events. Could not recommend this local gem enough. Kudos to the owners for creating such a beautiful space for the community. Loved!!
Gorgeous old-timey neighborhood cafe’ and market. Plenty of ingredients to make a quick delicious meal for a date night or dining solo. The locally made fresh pastries are incredibly moist and flavorful. Especially the mushroom pocket and also the cinnamon Babka. They don’t have espresso yet, but their tea and coffee was really good and they have a decent selection of wine and sake. Their sandwiches & salads are delicious. We need more of these beautiful and nourishing spaces. Support your local small business. Loved the vibe here! ✨✨❤️
Everything about Sawyer’s is absolutely lovely. The ambiance, the food, the drinks and the staff are all fantastic. Love the cozy neighborhood vibe and will definitely be back!
A wonderfully curated and elevated new addition to Providence on Broadway Street! I stopped in for a change of scenery for the day, and Sawyers was refreshing, to say the least! I enjoyed the niçoise salad and plum lemonade along with a coffee to round everything out! The salad was light, fresh, delicious, and a perfect portion! The dish was a nixe balance of fresh herbs, ripe vegetables, tomatoes, and tuna! The plum lemonade was sweet and a refreshing new take on lemonade that I hadn't had before! I will be coming back to spend my days working and continue exploring the menu! Also, the other half of the main room is a little market with fresh and organic ingredients! My compliments to the chef who guided my food choices and best of luck to the Sawyers team!
Sawyer's Market is waiting for you to experience it. It is waiting for you to enjoy a West End afternoon drinking a coffee or having a bite to eat. It really feels like an experience when you go there. There is a definite European feel that doesn't quite translate to anything you might find on the East Side. There are fresh produce and some choice food items in the cooler section, some dry goods that may be tasty for those who are glutinous and gluten-free. I had seen a brand of potato chip that is rarely seen in the markets of Providence, and the Black Truffle flavor is always an earthy flavored favorite for some. The drinks menu is only wine and beer. But the selection looks plentiful. There are still menu items that are not available, yet. I only grabbed an iced coffee, but the service was quick, the atmosphere thoughtful, and the sidewalk table I sat at was a wonderful place to sit and think before the next busy moment. Sawyer's Market is going to be a nice place to visit in the PVD area. I will be going back to try out their menu, but a nice afternoon coffee was enough for me to want to come back again!
