Cool place. Peaceful ambience. Crisp coffee. Strawberry and blueberry danish was delish. The staff were really courteous. They are famous for Oak roasted coffee. The blue moon latte with a lavender twist was very smooth.
I visited Summer Moon Coffee today at 8am with a party of three. We ordered our drinks, and all iced coffees. When we received our order, one of the coffees was incorrect — we had ordered iced coffees, but one of them was given to us hot instead. I didn’t want to make a big deal out of it, so I simply asked for a cup of ice to fix it myself. Unfortunately, one of the employees (a light-skinned female worker) responded with a very poor attitude over such a simple request. She then asked if we wanted the drink remade but didn’t even wait for our answer before starting to remake it, all while visibly showing frustration and a negative attitude. She also stated that we could either keep the hot coffee or throw it away. After noticing that I was unhappy with how she was speaking to me, her attitude suddenly shifted. I went back to my car, but when I checked the drinks again, I realized that not only had we originally been given the wrong drink, but the replacement was also the wrong size. I went back inside once more, and she then informed me that we had been given another customer’s coffee by mistake. I truly love this place and usually have great experiences, which makes this situation even more disappointing. Management should really address how some employees interact with customers. When a customer asks for a simple solution — especially one that would make things easier for everyone — they should not be met with attitude. Customer service is just as important as the quality of the coffee.
I go weekly to buy coffee for my expresso machine, my wife went in to buy a bag of decaf and asked for it to get ground fine so she could just put in portafilter and make a cup. The coffee grounds she got was not fine and its more for drip. I went back and asked if they could fix it and the people at store said they cant do anything about. That sucks because I like that coffee and I go weekly, but I guess ill shop elsewhere.
The shop was very cute and their house made cream/milk option was delicious and very accommodating to your sweetness preference. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was nice and relaxing for a morning coffee date with your best friend. There was a lot of seating areas available and its well decorated. The only negative is I am a caramel girlie & usually go for something with caramel sauce. However it was not an option. Aside from that, it was a great experience and the drink I ended up getting was yummy.
If I could give zero or negative one I would. One of the worst coffee shop experiences I’ve had in entire Houston and trust me I’ve been to quite a few. The lady who took our orders was not welcoming in her interaction with us, the vibe she gave was “don’t you know that it’s obvious” behaviour towards someone like me who’s visiting the store for the first time. And then I had requested a kid’s temperature drink for my toddler which was very hot even for my tongue, and my toddler burnt his tongue drinking it. When I went to give them feedback about the drink they didn’t even feel empathy for my toddler and just dismissed my feedback. Although their moon & summer drinks are famously known but these drinks at this particular location had a very average taste.
