Crema's Take

Tierra Mia Coffee in Long Beach is known for bold creative drinks that blend traditional flavors with specialty coffee—think tiramisu lattes with breve, horchata frappes, and mazapán peanut creations that keep customers coming back despite occasional drive-thru hiccups. The cozy, family-friendly spot offers both a welcoming dining area and convenient drive-thru window, though the latter can get a bit chaotic during peak hours. Their drinks genuinely impress (reviewers rave about the flavor combinations), making it worth the visit whether you're grabbing a quick cold brew or settling in to linger.

Only used the drive-thru since the parking lot and street are under a lot of construction. Ordered a large iced tiramisu latte with breve and a strawberry matcha latte both were delicious. The matcha wasn’t overpowering, and the strawberry added a subtle sweetness. Great quality espresso and reasonably priced. Would definitely come back.

I ordered two large drinks. When I got home, you can see, I got one large and one medium. The whole experience in the drive-through sucked because the barista made a face when I told her I wanted to tip three dollars. She then closed the window and made a comment to the other barista‘s about a “three dollar tip.” This place doesn’t care about service because they are popular. It’s good coffee, but you gotta put up with poor service and bad attitude from the barista’s. Go to the other location or support a different coffee shop, that’s my opinion after a bad experience this morning.

Okay, this was my very first time trying Tierra Mia Coffee, mainly because I had always been put off by the large lines always seen in the drive thru. But, since my wife and I were up early and we were in no rush, we decided to give it a try. And... I was definitely right about the wait times in getting our drinks. Despite how delicious the drinks we ordered ultimately were, the fact that we were in line for almost 20 minutes certainly factors into my future plans to revisit here. Oh, our drinks were certainly delicious. She ordered the Mazapan Peanut Frappe while I ordered the Chocolate Mexicano Frappe - and they were simply luscious. I wouldn't mind coming back and ordering them again. Or even trying other menu items to see if there are other things that would tickle my fancy. But those wait times I was always wary about, especially now that I experienced them for myself... yeah, those will weigh in if I ever come back. Maybe if I see that there isn't much of a line I'll come back again. But I'll not be going out of my way for it. And that's a shame because their drinks were certainly a good as it gets.

Extremely delicious frappe, along with excellent customer service & a clean dining area. As a bonus there is a drive-thru window. On this occasion, my wife tried the Horcahata frappe & I tried the Mazapan frappe, both amazingly delicious 😋

Great coffee spot with a cozy vibe! We tried the mazapán peanut frappe and the horchata latte, both were delicious. The only downside was that the drive-thru could be better organized, but overall it’s definitely worth a visit for the drinks.
