Crema's Take

MQR Cafe pulls off something genuinely difficult: a coffee shop with serious Mediterranean-inspired food that doesn't sacrifice either half of the equation. The cinnamon rolls are legitimately exceptional, but regulars are equally enthusiastic about the savory side—think hummus with chicken shawarma, harissa egg sandwiches, and Mediterranean chopped cheese—all executed with the care most cafes reserve only for their pastries. If you want a leisurely breakfast spot with real flavor and personality (plus friendly staff who actually know their menu), this is worth the trip to Annandale.

What to expect

Classic coffee drinks done right. A slow-sit spot, good for meetings. Full breakfast, pastries, and light food on the menu. Family friendly. Parking available.
