Crema's Take

Tucked into the charming Tosa Village, Café Hollander feels like the kind of place where regulars claim it as their own—whether they're splitting brownies on date nights, bringing kids for weekend breakfast, or settling in solo with their laptop for hours. The kitchen takes real care with both their coffee craft and their food, from creative brunch items like the BELT-A to thoughtful accommodations for dietary needs, all backed by a genuinely warm staff who seem to actually enjoy connecting with guests. It's the rare neighborhood spot that works equally well for a quick coffee run, a full breakfast, or lingering conversation over drinks and appetizers.

When visiting Tosa, this is an establishment one must check out. The village itself is already beautiful, but the cozy ambience of the restaurant definitely added to the wonderful dining experience. The restaurant has a huge selection of beers and drinks, in addition to the delicious selection of dishes. The server even offered a sample of the beers I was choosing between. I ended up going with the Lowlander Oranje (a local beer). The beer starts off a bit bitter but settles into a clean taste that really paired well with all the dishes we ordered. They also have a happy hour during the weekdays from 3PM - 5PM, which gives you 50% off local beers. So, if you have the time, make sure to check that out. We ordered the Buckatabon Cheese Curds (a must in WI), which are made from Meunster cheese, Bruschetta Flatbread (which includes goat cheese spread), and the Mussels (served with a sliced toasted baguette). Everything was absolutely delicious. The flatbread was definitely a pleasant surprise, while the mussels were a show stealer. The baguette definitely pairs well with the mussels which sit in a delicious "broth" that is extremely flavorful. As for parking, you will have to look for street parking (2-hour parking), but if you're going during the weekdays, it shouldn't be an issue. During busier times, they do have a public parking lot a few doors down from the restaurant, which charges about $10 for the first hour and an additional charge after that. When visiting WI again, I will make sure to go back to try the other local beers and dishes. 5 stars all the way!

We love coming to Cafe Hollander in Tosa for our date nights. We always split the brownie for dessert. Atmosphere and hospitality is always great but Alyssa B. went above and beyond connecting with us, making us laugh and feel like family. I hope we see her next time!

This is a staple for our family because our kids love it, but today I just came by for a fun Friday lunch solo. Jumped right into a seat at the bar and had a nice interaction with the very friendly (and efficient) Sky. She set me up with a bier and the fish fry, which hit the spot. Fish fry here is great - perfectly crispy and seasoned with a little extra kick. We are here a couple times a month for a reason. It's just consistently good food and warm people.

The food was excellent and the service was great. I have food allergies and our server Ivy was incredibly helpful in reccomending dishes that were suitable. Sometimes I feel like making these special requests can be kind of tedious but everyone was very accomodating. Our server made me feel very comfortable and cooks made it happen. They made me a regular. The view from our table upstairs was beautiful.

Our favorite breakfast place in Milwaukee. I had the BELT-A, bacon, egg, lettuce, tomato, and avocado. It was outstanding. There are beer pairings for everything on the menu. There is also a good bloody Mary selection, always included a beer chase. Enjoy your visit.
