Crema's Take

Simona's is a welcoming neighborhood gem where the staff—particularly the genuinely kind regulars like Anthony—remembers you and makes conversation feel like part of the experience. Their espresso-focused coffee is consistently excellent, and the pastries and breakfast sandwiches showcase real care in sourcing quality ingredients, with creative takes on classics that feel homemade rather than mass-produced. It's the kind of place where you can linger over a cappuccino or dash in for a fresh egg sandwich, and either way, you'll leave feeling like you were treated as more than just a transaction.

Love their coffee and their pastries— the folks who work there put a lot of care into that. I just tried their matcha and it was lacking. Tasted only of oatmilk. The men on their staff are also usually pretty gruff and can’t be bothered to be kind or helpful in the morning but make a great cup of coffee.

Decided to check out Simon’s Cafe for breakfast instead of Starbucks and I’m so glad I did. Anthony was so kind and warm. It didn’t take long for him to hear my NC accent and he immediately gave me such a warm welcome similar to what I’m used to at home. Thank you for that! I ordered the Wilson and wish it lasted long enough to take pictures. It was yummy and the bread was so fresh. Thank you all for a warm start to this cold winter morning!

Such a cute cafe! I was warmly greeted by one of the employees, Anthony, and he so welcoming. Very great conversationalist. Anything I needed, he provided for me. The atmosphere is very inviting and calming with a little bit of music playing in the background. I got the chocolate croissant and a vanilla latte which were so good. It’s also a wonderful place to sit and chill.

Great coffee and atmosphere. A little pricey but completely worth it. Their egg sandwiches are super fresh and to die for. You can tell they have good ingredients in everything! We came all the way from Miami, Fl and were impressed!

We walked here for a quick bite and we were very pleased. The coffee was delicious and the breakfast sandwiches were unique but tasty. It’s not your usual croissant sandwich. It’s more like a homemade french bread square sandwich. It was great! The place is pretty small and there is seating available outside, however BEWARE OF THE MOSQUITOS
