Crema's Take

Urban Wilderness is a tiny but mighty cafe that doubles as a curated travel hub, making it feel more like discovering a hidden gem than grabbing a quick coffee. Their staff are genuinely passionate about helping you find your perfect drink—whether that's their signature Arctic Jasmine Tea Fog, excellent espresso, or something entirely new—and they pair quality coffee with unexpectedly delicious local food like reindeer breakfast burritos and chili dogs. With just two tables and a wonderfully intimate vibe, this is a spot to pop in, chat with friendly humans, grab a souvenir, and get inspired about your next adventure.

Unbelievable selection of coffees and teas. The ladies were wicked patient helping me finally chose my iced Arctic Jasmine tea Fog. Only 2 tables, so don't plan to sit. Nice selection of local products to buy like balm, food, tea towels and stickers. Lots of local activity resources.

Not a large space, but enjoyed the friendly service, a reindeer chili dog with some good coffee, a hot cider and a bowl of fresh berries. Picked up a few souvenir items here and info about potential future adventures as well. Bathrooms are in the connected building, for which you must request access.

I stopped in for coffee when I saw this new shop. The coffee was excellent and the staff are so so so nice. They helped me find a new drink flavor that I would like and it was delicious. They have so many options for food, coffee, tea, soda and many other drinks. They also have a lot of local products there that look great and can’t wait to try. I would highly recommend stopping in whether you’re a local or tourist.

A mix of a travel agency (I think that's the term) and a cafe. The sweets are really good even if I don't enjoy coffee. Reindeer Breakdfast Burrito was really good. Cafe is run by a single person.

This is hands down my favorite coffee spot in downtown Anchorage. If you’re looking for a cozy coffee shop this is a must visit. Such a great find with a great vibe and super friendly staff. I got a black iced coffee and it was a hit. They also have other drink options for those more adventurous than I am. This spot is definitely a gem to have close to work. There is seating and snack options as well. I love going there with friends.
