Solar Myth
1131 S Broad St, Philadelphia, PA
Crema's Take
“Solar Myth is a beautifully curated space that layers coffee and specialty drinks with vinyl records and an intimate concert venue, creating a rare spot where you can nurse a perfectly crafted cappuccino while browsing albums and catching live music. The shotgun-style layout—vinyl shop in front, coffee and wine bar in the middle, performance space in back—makes it feel like a genuine creative hub rather than just another coffee stop, and reviewers consistently praise the genuinely welcoming, music-loving staff who make the whole experience feel like hanging out with friends rather than being served. Whether you're after a cozy afternoon with hot chocolate, a glass of wine paired with an Ars Nova-sponsored show, or just the kind of place where hipster sensibility actually feels warm and unpretentious, this is where Philadelphia's indie arts and coffee culture naturally inters”

I came across this shop on a cold windy day when I was looking for a hot chocolate with a friend. We were not disappointed when we came in here! The vibe is so cute and cozy! The seating is really nice with there being both bar seating and couch seating, which is pretty uncommon to see these days. We didn’t try any of the food, but we did get our hot chocolate and they have the vegan dairy free option of oat milk to substitute cow milk. The shop plays record music to add to the chill vibe, which is also very cute. I can’t wait to come back here again and try out their pizza and other drinks.
No food here, its a hipster wine bar with a small concert room attached. Great place to have a beer/glass of wine and see a show. Shows are sponsored by Ars Nova, amazingly great non-profit neighborhood org.
Comfy indie wine bar with vinyl music, delicious wine, and chill friendly vibes. The venue in the back is great for small shows and the staff and patrons alike are music and wine lovers you’ll want to stay around and spend time with. An easy place to work, meet, or simply hang out any time day or night.
Small space. Small vinyl shop in front, then food/coffee/wine bar, then event space in back, all laid out shotgun style. Event space is small with decent acoustics. Staff was unfailingly polite, friendly, courteous. Will definitely return next time someone I'm interested in seeing comes through.
Stopped by Solar Myth for drinks while walking up Broad with friends. Didn't quite know what to expect but came away impressed. The vibe is very hipster, but a more chill, inviting hipster vibe that I can spend some time in. Had a great wine selection, cool vinyl selection, and very impressive beer prices. Will be back.
