Crema's Take

This Anchorage coffee hut has clearly won over travelers with genuinely memorable espresso drinks—one reviewer couldn't stop talking about their coffee days after leaving town—though the experience can be inconsistent depending on who's behind the counter. The shop specializes in both traditional and creative specialty drinks with a real espresso focus, and when the team is on their game, the service warmth matches the quality of what's in your cup. If you catch them on a good day, it's the kind of place that sticks with you; just know that staffing mood swings seem to be part of the territory.

Worst coffee hut experience ever. These teens were obviously just collecting a paycheck. Professionalism was nonexistent. First of all, they only took an order for the driver and closed the window. They never looked for a passenger. I bet that passenger would like to have seen a face instead of a crotch. It was clear that conversation with friends present at the time was more important than making one coffee. Quite a few minutes passed before they even began making the order. I felt bad for the driver on the other side of the hut as the workers shouted over them to communicate with yet another friend in the vehicle behind them. After finally making one coffee, they came back to our vehicle and asked for payment. It was at that time that we informed them there was a second drink. It took 20 minutes to get two coffees! I have nothing nice to say. They're lucky I wasn't the one driving.

We stopped here on our way out of Anchorage to Seward. The coffee was ahhmazing- we have talked about it several times since we got it yesterday. But the best part?! The service! As someone from North Carolina I can say they put southern hospitality to shame!

~430pm 4/28/25 Girl was either having a really bad day/rude or possibly neurodivergent? I know some autistic people don't read social cues very well. Either way, if someone were to snap at me again like she did I would just not return to this coffee shop, it's hard to base a solid opinion on just one visit. If it's a neurodivergent thing, maybe customer service/dealing with people isn't the right fit for this person. The avocado toast was really good, coffee was ok.

Just moved to anchorage and trying to find "my" regular shop. I thought this was a good one at first, always very friendly and prices arnt too bad. However the last two times I've gone I've been very clear and said I wanted an ICED drink, and everytime they give it to me hot. I was very very clear on the last one and said it 3 times in my order. Iced. Still got 20oz of hot mocha instead. No, I'm not gonna have them remake it because it's a waste of resources. I'm just not going to come here any more and pass along my experience.
