Seoul Sweets
308 5th Ave, New York, NY
Crema's Take
“Seoul Sweets brings Korean pastry tradition into a sleek, modern space where traditional rice cakes and creative fusion desserts like injeolmi tiramisu and Dubai chewy cookies steal the show. The beautiful, spacious interior makes it an ideal spot to linger over drinks and sweets, though expect a line and prices that reflect the quality and authenticity of each handcrafted item. It's the kind of place where you're tasting something genuinely unique—not just coffee shop fare, but real Korean confectionery translated into contemporary flavors.”

the desserts and drinks were very delicious and the interior is very beautiful. their cakes are traditional korean rice cakes which was so unique! id say their dubai chewy cookie has a much better, thinner mochi exterior than their milk flavor. wouldve been better if the milk flavor also had the same soft, thin wrapper unfortunately theres a group of 10+ people with 4 toddlers just taking up all the chairs and an entire walkway despite having finished their drinks and cleaned up. this is ofc not the cafe's fault but it did detract from the experience. dont come to a cafe with such a huge group??
First time trying different Korean sweets. I ordered a set and it was pretty good but some were a bit too sweet for me personally. Interior was very nice, spacious, good place to hang out or study. Staff was friendly as well.
The desserts are really unique and native. Although overpriced, it was great quality and you can taste the authenticity. The line is always long but the interior is so beautifully modern. I highly recommend the strawberry mochi platter. It comes with 5 mochi pieces, strawberry, red bean paste, and sweetened condensed milk.
Great atmosphere! I don’t think the bingsoo is honestly worth the price because how good can bingsoo honestly get anyways💀the injeolmi tiramisu was ok. Mugwort einspanner was probably the best item we purchased! Super creamy and mugworty. I’d probably stick with iced coffee on my next visit if I’m getting dessert though because the einspanner was on the sweeter side and I got oversugared pretty quickly. Overall a cute place for a small dessert and a nice drink
Seoul Sweets is a sleek, modern dessert spot with a polished vibe. We tried the sesame rice cake and the tiramisu, both of which were surprisingly good. The tiramisu comes with espresso poured on top and uses a chewy mochi base instead of ladyfingers, which worked really well. The sesame rice cake was soft, chewy, and not overly sweet. Slightly pricey, but the flavors and presentation make it a worthwhile treat.
