Crema's Take

Tucked inside a Minneapolis hotel, Spyhouse roasts exceptional espresso-focused coffees in a modern industrial space that's somehow both energizing and cozy—perfect for a quick specialty drink or settling in with your laptop for hours. Their cappuccinos and seasonal lattes are genuinely excellent, but don't sleep on their matcha either, and the pastries like their pecan pull-apart bread are worth the parking hunt. The baristas are genuinely friendly, the seating is plentiful despite the crowds, and whether you're meeting a friend or working solo, this spot has mastered the rare balance of being a serious specialty roaster that still feels like your neighborhood coffee shop.

Stopped here for a quick bite and coffee and loved it. Delicious latte and a really nice atmosphere / staff, was pretty busy (seems like a popular work/ hang area) but still plenty of seating. The quesadillas was pretty great :)

Amazing specialty roaster and coffee shop in downtown Minneapolis. Cappuccino, drip coffee, and special menu seasonal latte were amazing. Top notch espresso drinks, friendly baristas, and high end up scale Massive lobby.

A cozy coffee shop. Worth finding parking and going into the hotel. Great menu choices and specials. The pecan pull a part bread was excellent. Service is great.

I would say by far the best matcha I had in the town & burrito. Such a great place for breakfast in a rainy day! Enjoy!

*WENT ON AUGUST 2* Shop is inside of a hotel that shares their modern industrial horticulture vibe. The wait was around ten minutes to order, but that was okay because it gives you time to mull over what drink to get as they have a variety of seasonal and specialty drinks. I got the Solid Gold latte, and the turmeric and ginger gave a good kick to the oat latte without overpowering the drink. I like that if you are dining in your dishware is sustainable (with mugs and metal silverware). There is plenty of seating with outlets and a couple of pool tables as well. If I lived here I would definitely come here to study and work.
