Glad to know College Station has a good, reliable local spot. Never disappoints, and there’s always a good standard of excellence in food, atmosphere, hospitality, and speed.

I have celiac disease, so avoiding gluten and cross-contamination isn’t a preference for me—it’s a medical necessity. Unfortunately, ordering from Blue Baker has been very hit or miss. Sometimes when I order, the staff is upfront and lets me know they can’t fully prevent cross-contamination, which I appreciate. Other times, depending on who takes or prepares my order, it’s handled with extreme care and I’ve had good experiences. Today I ordered an Earl as a lettuce wrap and made sure to let them know about my gluten intolerance/celiac. I was starving and had already spent a good amount of money, so I ate the meal—but it wasn’t enjoyable. Shortly after, I was in pain, which tells me there was likely some form of cross-contamination. I really want to love this place because when it’s done right, it’s great. However, the inconsistency makes it hard for people with celiac disease to feel safe ordering here. I hope there can be more consistent training and clearer communication so customers with serious dietary restrictions know exactly what to expect.

Blue Baker ROCKS!! I've had breakfast, lunch, and dinner there; it's is delicious every time! I have to admit my favorite item is the fudge brownie. On my much needed chocolate fix days those brownies hit the spot! Love them!!

It was a perfect day for a Blue Baker bread bowl. The food has never disappointed me, is always fresh and delicious. The service was quick and the staff were very friendly.

I ordered a hot BLT today and having ordered many hot sandwiches from many restaurants throughout my life, I thought it was understood that when you order a hot sandwich, the bread, cheese and meat are toasted and then the fresh cold vegetables are put on afterward. I got an extremely mushy soggy sandwich where the lettuce and tomato had been put through the oven and it was absolutely awful. Not only that but the sandwich used to be full of beautiful ingredients and had hardly anything in it now for the same price. Very sad blue Baker. I don’t think I’ll be back.
