Blake's Lotaburger
University Of New Mexico, Albuquerque, NM
Crema's Take
“This Albuquerque institution serves up classic New Mexico breakfast and satisfying handheld meals with a no-fuss drive-thru experience that locals rely on for quick, affordable fuel. While consistency can be hit-or-miss and the coffee leans traditional rather than specialty-focused, you'll find genuine hospitality from staff like Michael Otero who genuinely care about getting your order right. It's the kind of place where families pile in for green chili breakfast burritos and simple coffee, not where you'd hunt for single-origin pour-overs, but it captures something real about Albuquerque's casual, friendly dining culture.”

I just visited Yale and University store was impressed by a staff member named Michael Otero. Great service and great customer service. He is a great employee who handled my order professionally and I received my order quickly and with no wait time
Thanks for the response! I don’t think this is a matter of having “high standards.” I ordered a basic vanilla milkshake, and I wanted to warn future customers & Blake’s about the possibility of cross-contamination. I understand what you mean by “can’t blame you for having high standard,” and I think you got the point completely wrong. My concern is specifically about cross-contamination. Please be mindful of this moving forward. no UNM student wants to have an allergic reaction to something they didn’t order and end up in urgent care instead of attending class. Thank you! ———————————————- I ordered a vanilla milk shake but it tasted like green chili. My co-worker tried it, and she said the same thing. I wonder if they used the same spoon when they make burgers to add green chilly or sth- which can be a really big problem for the ppl who have allergies. OR they meant to do that. Burger was not really good too… disappointing
This location lacks consistency. Every visit, I am not sure if I will actually get what I order or will I be waiting in the drive thru line for awhile. Since I work close I frequent the drive thru, and there are times I will not receive a side item I ordered or when I order a burrito in the morning, I will ask for Green Chile sauce AND chopped green. After waiting in line for about 15 min then get to work I only have chopped green and no sauce. This place would be good if it had consistent service and quality, I may just start going to Lotaburger on Washington and cutler.
Usually, I love Blake's, but every time I've gotten a burger from here, the patty has been way over-salted. Also, their paper bags, napkins, etc. smell really musty, it's super off-putting and nasty. Someone should check for a leak wherever they store them in the back. I'd be eating here all the time if they fixed these issues.
I got number 1# Bacon 🥓 with green chili and I paid $6.29 for it.... I'm not happy because the burrito is as big as my hand and it's really small... I'm a female like a girls hand is smaller then a dude 😭😂🤣 please make the burrito worth $6 bucks
