Rose’s Coffee Bar
299 N Federal Hwy, Fort Lauderdale, FL
Crema's Take
“Rose's Coffee Bar is a laid-back refuge tucked inside the Dal Mar on Fort Lauderdale's first floor, where the real magic happens through genuinely thoughtful baristas like Laola who remember regulars' names and go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. While coffee quality seems inconsistent—some customers rave about excellent brews while others find them overly strong—the welcoming atmosphere and light food options like smoked salmon toast make it an ideal spot to settle in with your laptop for hours. This is the kind of place where the people matter more than perfection, and that warmth keeps people coming back despite the occasional misstep.”

Laola is such a wonderful barista!! I stayed at the element for 2 weeks and seeing her in the morning brightened my day! She is super attentive and wonderful at her job, she even remembered my name and coffee order! Thank you laola! Rose’s coffee bar is lucky to have her! Carmen flood
I had time prior to a meeting and stopped here for a coffee and to use the computer. I met a charming woman who didn’t hesitate when I was surprised they did not accept Apple Pay. This kind woman offered to pay. We ended up chatting about the cruise her and her husband are going on, and exchanging travel stories. Which was lovely and welcomed after such a kind gesture. There was not WiFi to use anyway. So my original idea of working would not have came to fruition here. Partly because they utilize the internet from the hotel, which is a Marriott Bonvoy. (So if you have an account you can access it) But I do believe it would be convenient for them to have their own.
I don’t usually leave reviews, but Rose’s Coffee Bar was such a disappointment I had to say something. The coffee? Burnt, bitter, and barely drinkable — tasted like it had been sitting on a warmer all morning. I’ve had better from a gas station. To make things worse, the staff was unbelievably rude. No greeting, no smile, just attitude like I was bothering them by ordering. When I politely asked a question about the menu, I got an eye-roll and a snarky response. Not exactly the “local charm” vibe they try to sell. And let’s talk prices — outrageous. $7+ for a small latte that tasted like hot regret. You’d expect top-tier quality for those prices, not a slap in the face with burnt beans and bad vibes. Save your money and your taste buds. There are plenty of other coffee spots that don’t charge a fortune for mediocrity and treat their customers with at least a shred of decency.
I recently visited Roses and enjoyed their delicious coffee along with the banana bread and smoked salmon toast. The coffee was excellent, but the banana bread was just okay. However, the smoked salmon toast was served on warm bread with avocado and generously topped with a lot of salmon, making it very delicious. The service was good and the atmosphere was pleasant.
Very low key inside the Dal Mar on the first floor. Quiet and laid back. The coffee left much to be desired, very strong and bland but perhaps I didn’t ask for enough milk. 10/10 would still go again, maybe get my coffee done differently.
