Uni Uni Uptown - Chicago

It all depends on who's working a shift. Most of my experience here is good, with nice and welcoming staff. Tonight was terrible. The workers had bad attitudes as soon as we came in. You can tell they were fed up and wanted to close already. The lady kept side eyeing me. She watched my daughter do a complete order through the kiosk. She paid and the lady told her she needed to cancel the order on my card because they were closing. My daughter just wanted a little dessert. Just the fish shaped pastry. I told them that was wrong after requesting my receipt for the refund and of course the lady walked away and let the man talk to me. He was offended by me saying they were very improper. If you go here, check the energy of the staff first. The food is fine. The drinks... Depends on who's making it.

A cute spot for boba in the heart of Argyle! All the workers here were very friendly, and there’s lots of seating, so it’s a good place to come and relax with friends. There are a plethora of drinks and different boba and pearls to choose from to upgrade your drink. I got the yulu oolong milk tea and couldn’t resist ordering their massive bucket size. Even with half sugar, it was still pretty sweet, but the tea flavor was present as well. We went in the evening, and they were out of the traditional tapioca, so I went with the passion fruit popping boba, which was so fun to eat. The bucket was ginormous, and while I probably wouldn’t get it again, it was at least two servings and worth trying once for the fun of it. When you have a boba craving, Uni Uni always delivers!

This is the BEST boba place ever. I’ve tried everything under the sun from places in Europe, Asia, to across America and I’m in love with Uni Uni. I’ve been meaning to review for a while because they have fantastic flavors and great customization options. I would strongly recommend their fruit and yakult teas. But one of the biggest draws is their incredible customer service. The entire staff is SO friendly and accommodating. Genuinely they go out of their way to give you the best experience possible! If you haven’t been yet - you need to try it. You’ll be hooked once you do!

I ordered a peach yogurt with crystal boba with strawberry bursting boba, and it was DIVINE!!! My friend ordered a strawberry yogurt crystal boba lychee jelly and mango bursting boba and they said it was like they tasted a slice of heaven. (The employee also played KPOP DEMON HUNTERS >:0 and it was such a vibe!!

Okay, I'm mad at myself for not finding this place sooner. I've always noticed the nice clean quaint storefront so I decided to give it a try as I felt like Boba. Wow I am very very impressed. I got the red bean smoothie with the lychee boba and at $7 for a large, it quite a good deal. Good sized drink but most importantly, it's delicious. Like I will go out of my way for it good stop by at least once a week good. Taste fresh instead of mixed powdered, though it might be, but I couldn't tell. I also got potato corn dog. Which pretty much is closer to a mozzarella stick but....favorable trusting and good gooey chese inside. Another item that I was suprised how good it was. The decor is pretty modern, clean in the front area and spacious. Can comment on the bathrooms as many of shared tho. Parking is street and can be a bit if a hassle but you can always find a spot. It's about 10 feet from the Argyle red line stop. So it's very accessible. Service and staff our excellant. Their quick, which is excellent in it's own right, despite this place being quite busy. Yet the stuff was very accommodating heck unduly nice if you need them for anything. Seem to recognize regular customers and they seem to do a brisk business. The workers work very hard as they are quite busy. Apparently this is the 3rd location with the main one in Chinatown and another in wicker park. They do have a buy 9 drinks get 10 free perk card so not bad for a loyalty program. This place deserves a visit. I highly recommend it. Maybe the tastiest Boba drinks in my area
