Three Legged Cat
142 Waterbury St, Brooklyn, NY
Crema's Take
“This Brooklyn gem prioritizes substance over hype, crafting genuinely excellent espresso and pour overs in a relaxed atmosphere where you can actually linger and chat without feeling rushed. The team shows real commitment to quality coffee—not just the aesthetic—plus thoughtful touches like reusable mugs for here and a surprisingly stellar bacon on a bagel that elevates the whole experience. It's the kind of neighborhood spot that rewards regulars with consistency and care, especially if you're seeking seriously good traditional and specialty drinks in a laid-back setting.”

Hey friends! This review is about sustainability only. I was thrilled to see that you have real, reusable mugs available to customers enjoying their (delicious!!!) coffee to stay. By 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. And almost 95% of the plastic we produce and consume does not actually get recycled, even with the best of intentions. Instead, it winds up piled in landfills, burned in incinerators, and floating in our waters, where it breaks down into microplastics that we consume and get sick from. So it means a lot to me, in this waterfront city, to opt out of needless plastics that contribute to our pollution crisis. To that end, I wonder if you would consider selling something instead of this plastic bottled water? I understand the need to make money from concessions, but surely there are better options to pursue than these. Canned water, glass bottled water…each worth considering! Thank you for your time, and thank you for a fantastic coffee in such a sunny, welcoming space. The ambience and service is lovely!
Hands down best coffee in the area, imo. Lived in the area for 3+ years, and they seem to really care about quality coffee and a shockingly good bec on a bagel to boot. Not really a spot to go for specialty lattes or sweet drinks, but a spot for lovers of coffee for sure.
I got an espresso here, which was fantastic. Unlike a majority of cafes in Williamsburg which pay more attention to the environment rather than actually serving a great "coffee", their coffee is great. This is a trivial thing but I like that they serve sparkling water to clean the palette before drinking the espresso, unlike many cafes here. It also helps that they source their beans from a variety of high quality roasteries. Lastly, I love that you pay whatever you see on the menu - they include the gratuity and the tax in the price so a $5.25 coffee doesn't become $7 like at most other places.
I specifically came to this café to buy an iced latte. At the first sip, it tasted really bland. The beans weren’t great. Then I saw they used oat milk. But when I ordered, I clearly said I wanted whole milk. When I got the drink, it was the first time I felt an iced latte could be so disappointing. After tax, it came out to $8. This drink is not worth $8. Overpriced. Although the café has a decent vibe, if the coffee is going to be like this… maybe it’s time to change the male barista?
Great little spot. The espresso was great and very full bodied. Served on a tray with a sparkling water. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the music chilled. Perfect for a catch up conversation, reflection or book read. There are small tables dotted everywhere. There is a restroom/loo too. The food variety is just simple breakfast pastries and sandwiches. I had the melted cheese and egg sourdough toasted sandwich. The area is very quirky with many restaurants around and easily accessible. There is plenty of parking and a lot of side streets. Overall, this was a great experience and super relaxed atmosphere.
