Rustic Bakery
2017 Larkspur Landing Cir, Corte Madera, CA
Crema's Take
“Rustic Bakery is a bustling Corte Madera spot that shines brightest on farmer's market days, offering solid drip coffee and espresso alongside freshly baked pastries and breakfast fare in a casual counter-service setup. The outdoor seating by the bike rack creates an easygoing neighborhood vibe perfect for lingering over coffee, though reviewers note the food is more satisfying than spectacular—think dependable avocado toast and breakfast burritos rather than standout flavors. It's the kind of place where you'll find families and locals grabbing a quick pastry or settling in for a slower morning, though some wish the execution matched the promise of those tempting baked goods.”

Unfortunately even if the pastries taste great, I do not want to be treated with dishonesty. We arrived at the store about 15 minutes before it closed. We bought approximately 5-6 pastries, including 3 croissants, and paid the full price. About barely 2 minutes later, another group of customers informed us that they had been offered a buy-one-get-one-free croissant deal. We approached the cashier to inquire about this offer, but we were given an absurd explanation.
Like the other reviews, the food is fine. Nothing flavorful or amazing. Not worth the price. I ordered what I thought was a grilled chicken sandwich and got this pictured.
Rustic Bakery gets pretty busy during farmer's market days. Luckily we found seats outside by the bike rack. It is the type of restaurant where you order at the counter and they give you a number to put on your table. We ordered a couple of sandwiches, a Caesar salad and some pastries. Everything tasted OK. Nothing stood out as extraordinary.
Good decent fare and good drip coffee. The avocado toast and the breakfast burrito were good, but definitely needed the available hot sauce as they were missing that…salty tang
Healthy delicious lunches and breakfast sandwiches coffee/espresso drinks. They have eat in cups and bowls/ silverware. They brought me a real glass to mix my fresh squeezed OJ and brut sparkling wine. Best food while you wait for the ferry or SMART train to Santa Rosa. Everything is great
