Crema's Take
“Ruya Cafe is a bright, intimate neighborhood gem in Highlandtown where expertly crafted espresso drinks share the spotlight with standout crepes, particularly their viral Dubai chocolate creation that keeps customers coming back. The tiny cafe radiates warmth through its friendly barista team and family-owned charm, making it the kind of place where you'll feel genuinely welcomed whether you're grabbing a quick coffee or settling in with Yemeni tea and a generously portioned pastry. With near-perfect ratings, it's become a beloved local anchor that proves specialty coffee and Mediterranean-inspired bites can thrive beautifully in an unassuming corner spot.”

Their rich and flavorful, and the baristas are always so friendly and quick, highly recommended best in the Greek town & highlandtown area.
We were craving for yemini tea after a long day and came across this small, beautiful cafe. It has limited seating available. We ordered 1.Dubai chocolate crepe 2. Dragon blue lemonade (fresh blueberry were missing) 3.adeni chai 4. Caramel frappe Later he offered us yemini latte on house(really appreciate him for that). Everything tasted awesome. Crepe was delicious. Lemonade was good beside it didnt have fresh blueberries as we saw in some google maps pics. Caramel frappe was well made. Adeni chai was well made with perfect amount of spices and milk but definitely like latte more then chai. I wish he had served chai in regular traditional cups too. Though the given cups were cute but didnt really enjoyed drinking tea from them. We recently went to 2 different yemini Cafe in NYC both very well known were, we didnt enjoy their adeni chai at all as both time it was over cooked but here it was perfect. My kids needed to use the Washroom though there is no public washroom but he let us use the private (employee only) one.
Really enjoyed our experience here! The crepes were delicious. We got the fruit crepe and Dubai chocolate crepe. They were both delicious, generously sized, and I loved the crunchy texture on the Dubai chocolate crepe. The Adenai Chai was something else though! A perfect balance of spices, with a beautiful presentation that paired perfectly with the crepes. I also appreciated the serving glass—the double layer made it comfortable to hold while allowing the tea to cool quicker. I would 100% buy a mix to make at home if they sold it here. The interior is very clean with a bright, modern ambience. We’ll definitely be coming back!
This place is amazing! , I’ve come 2 times now and the crepes are the best I ever tried. Make sure you try the Dubai crepe and the adeni chai tea. Also the service they provide is great, very nice experience. It’s kids friendly as well with beautiful cake pops
This place is so beautiful, light, and friendly! Perfect place to support a local family business! Affordable and delicious. Highly recommend stopping by to pick up a pastry and coffee to start your day. I love them so much
