Such an amazing neighborhood restaurant! Friendly staff and the food is FABULOUS!! Brussel sprouts with bacon and honey is an absolutely legendary combo for an appetizer! The salmon bowl was exquisite! Great ingredients, super tasty, and beautiful presentation. Highly recommend stopping by whether you’re coming from nearby or from across town!
Lauren was our server at Heathers a local restaurant. She is excellent. She is very professional and knowledgeable about all of the choices. We had the salmon teriyaki bowl and a bowl of chicken minestrone soup and split both along with the dessert affogato. Kudos to Lauren
I debated posting about this small restaurant in South Minneapolis because I would prefer to keep it a secret, but it was busy so I'm sure the word is out. Best food I've had all year, hands down. I had walleye Benedict and my sister had the chicken pasta. I think the dishes were sprinkled with fairy dust, they were so good. We accompanied our meals with apple cider mimosas: delicious. I took a peanut butter cookie to go and when I ate it 2 days later it was literally the best cookie ever, melted in my mouth.
The roasted squash dish was amazing. The breakfast sandwich would be great if that’s your thing. It’s definitely heavy on the egg, but I’m not necessarily an egg guy. The biscuit was not soft per se, it had more body to it.
First time here. We were in the area for a bike ride along the Minnehaha Parkway and met some friends for lunch. Didn’t really get to see much of the inside since we got a table behind the restaurant under the tent. It was a nice day to be outside. A little windy and chilly, but not an issue if you had a jacket. The place was busy, and at times people were waiting to get seated. We had a 12:45 reservation and got seated right away. We were given waters and menus, and we were so busy talking that the server had to come back several times before we made our decisions (thanks for the patience!). Our group ended up ordering the Poke Bowl, Avocado Toast with Fried Eggs, Teriyaki Salmon Bowl, and Blackened Salmon with Dilly Ranch. It didn’t take long for the food to come out (though we wouldn’t have noticed since we were still talking). Everything was the right temperature, nicely presented, and good portions. Everyone was really happy with their choices — except for mine. The salad part was good, but the Blackened Salmon was overcooked and dried out. It had good flavor, just cooked too long. Overall, a decent experience. I’d be interested in dining inside the building next time. The service the entire time was very attentive. But I’d definitely stay away from the Blackened Salmon.
