Crema's Take

Tucked inside a downtown bank building with an unexpectedly serene, hotel-lobby atmosphere, Mojo is a hidden gem that rewards those who seek it out past its easy-to-miss entrance. The genuinely warm staff and thoughtfully executed espresso drinks and pour-overs create a calm space that's equally suited for serious coffee appreciation or leisurely meetings, with plenty of room to settle in whether you're planted at a table or on the surrounding patio.

Such a hidden gem in the Loop ! It’s tucked inside what feels like a hotel lobby so it has that calm, slightly elevated energy. The staff is genuinely so kind one of the guys working there was literally the human version of a teddy bear. Just warm, welcoming and sweet. They’ve got a solid range of options: different coffee drinks, matcha, pastries, fruit, snack bars, plus a little self-serve station with milk, sugar, and napkins which is actually really convenient. I tried the matcha latte with Oat Milk, it was good just not the best matcha I’ve ever had. One small upgrade that would make a difference: sugar-free syrups (especially vanilla). That’s kind of essential these days. Seating is limited but since it’s in a hotel lobby you can usually find a spot. It’s quiet, the music isn’t too loud and it’s a nice place to get some work done without chaos. I’d come back ☕️

Holy crap, what a gem. Incredible aesthetics. Friendly Staff, and great coffee and food. A true gem, and definitely the spot to impress. Plenty of seating both in the coffee shop and surrounding building which is absolutely stunning. My highest recommendation!

Very cool coffee place. The staff are really friendly and the drinks are good. Just two things to note, it is inside of the bank building which confused us at first but it is all ok and second there are no restrooms inside.

This coffee shop is a hidden gem—literally! It’s a little hard to find at first, so keep an eye out for a tiny sign, as it's the only thing indicating the entrance from the outside. We actually walked past it twice before spotting it. Once inside, wow—the high ceilings and modern decor are stunning. The ambiance is cozy yet stylish, and the seating is very modern and comfortable. We ordered at the register, got a number, and then they brought our food and drinks right to the table, which was a nice touch. I had the mushroom and cheese quiche, and it was honestly one of the best quiche I’ve ever had from a coffee shop—absolutely delicious! Everything we ordered was tasty and well-prepared. Customer service was adequate, and the only downside is that there’s no public restroom—so be sure to take care of that before you go in. After breakfast, we enjoyed walking around and checking out the art installation at the end of the grand hall, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, it was a great experience, and we’d definitely come back next time we’re in that part of Chicago!
