Cortaditos

I was so happy to see cafecito on the menu, but very disappointed to get it. What I got was the most gentrified version of it. Instead of a smooth sweet cup of coffee where the sugar and coffee is whipped till it becomes creamy I got a espresso shot poured over sugar that sat at the bottom of the cup. No way this place should claim itself to be any thing cuban.

I rarely write negative reviews, but this was one of the worst breakfast experiences I’ve had in a while. We arrived at American Dream about two hours before opening, and this was the only food option available (which is why I’m giving 5 stars for service - also I don’t have anything bad to say about the staff). Their tres leches is so bad, I wanted to cry. Super liquid, the sponge has a strange texture and so overly sweet- it’s impossible to eat. My matcha latte was horrible too. Please, don’t repeat my mistake. But even americano was bad. The girl was nice and accommodating to make for our kids omelettes that weren’t on the menu, thanks for that. But they were not nice to. I’m sorry, but with the amount of competition here they need to work on their food!

I have been coming to the Cortaditos at American Dream consistently for over a year and I can absolutely say that this location is my fav! The entire team are responsive, provide quick service and friendly. Aside from the amazing coffee and delicious food its an added reason to keep coming back! Truly a gem at American Dream.

Really great spot for a quick coffee fix! Even though there’s no seating, the place is super clean and well-organized. The coffee tastes fresh and rich, and the baristas are always friendly and efficient. Perfect for grabbing a quality cup on the go. Definitely one of the best grab-and-go coffee spots in the mall!

Not worth the price! Coffee was ok, it was a little bitter. The queso y guava empanada literally had almost nothing in it. The crust was pretty stale as well. The staff was friendly. I would go somewhere else in the mall.
