Temptations Cafe

Crema's Take
“Temptations Cafe is a beloved neighborhood anchor in Brookline where the real specialty is creating space for life to happen—whether that's working from your laptop, meeting a friend, or lingering over a leisurely breakfast. Their breakfast sandwiches (especially the chorizo and egg) and fresh-baked scones draw regulars back consistently, though the casual, convivial atmosphere that keeps people planted at tables seems to be what they're really known for. It's the kind of place where friendly staff and a full menu of traditional cafe fare make it feel less like a coffee stop and more like a community living room.”

We enjoyed this casual cafe. They have good breakfast sandwiches, scones, hot cider, and soup. On a weekend it’s hard to find a seat. Seems like people linger after they’ve eaten. They have a few tables outside which is very nice.
I was so disappointed. My panni was wet and the bread fell apart. I asked for and paid 2 for extra cheese and didnt even have enough cheese for a regular sandwich. For 15 it was the worse sandwich ever. The chai latte wasnt very good as well
Our family’s favorite go-to spot for lunch or a coffee/work date 🥪☕️💻. My husband and I take turns coming here when we have to work and it’s too chaotic at home or when we’re meeting up with coworkers. Also, a great brunch spot on the weekends when the in-laws visit, but it’s so popular on Sundays that you have to make sure to get there and grab a table before they’re all full up! Also, they start serving lemonade during the Summer season and it’s perfect for me, not too sweet and not too sour 🍋. Kudos!
Saw Phantom Gourmet decal, I needed to try. Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming as soon as I walked in. Greeted with a smile always puts you in a great mood. Delicious plain bagel, soft and fresh to the bite. Had plain cream cheese, almost whipped like a cloud from heaven. Will be back to try their other items.
Temptations Cafe has been around for a while and they do not disappoint. The food is pretty good and there is plenty of seating. I recommend the breakfast sandwiches. The chorizo and egg is by far the best of the bunch (pictured).
