The Lost Hours Coffee Shop

I absolutely love having this coffee shop right near the Berwyn red line stop. It used to be so difficult to find a good cup of coffee on my way to work, especially early in the morning. The Lost Hours has quickly became my favorite spot! The staff is welcoming, attentive, and efficient! I especially like the option to order online and pick up, always makes my morning commute so much easier!

Cute space with creative specials — the PB&J latte was spot on (but a bit pricey) The Lost Hours is a charming little coffee shop in Edgewater with a cozy, handmade vibe and a menu that leans playful. I tried their monthly special, the PB&J latte (caramel, blackberry, and oat milk), and was genuinely surprised — it tasted exactly like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, in a weirdly delightful way. Staff was friendly (though more chill than chatty), and the space is great for a quiet hangout or solo work session. My only real gripe? Over $8 for a 20oz latte felt a little steep — even for a specialty drink. Still, if you’re into unique flavor combos and a mellow vibe, it’s worth checking out.

Been to this cafe a couple of times every visit is very pleasant. The decor is beautiful vintage with a touch of Chicago. They have very delicious vegan pastries and matcha. What I like the most about this cafe is the owner is very hands on with interacting with the public so you can’t help but feel a welcoming atmosphere within the cafe.

This is my absolute favorite coffee shop! I've lived in Uptown for 3 years. My boss recommended Lost Hours shortly after it opened. Since then, I've been coming here weekly for over a year and a half. Tim is the owner. He is very nice and so are the baristas. I've worked while having my coffee and pastry inside, and I absolutely love it. The coffee's are so delicious. My favorite drink is the Shiv Special. Ever since the barista, Shivon, came up with the recipe, I've never looked back! Also, they have the best merch. For every item purchased, you earn a free drink. I bought their merch over time and earned many free drinks. This coffee shop is definitely a must to check out! #SupportSmallBusinesses

Incredibly cozy neighborhood shop with a very friendly owner who greeted folks by name as they came for their regular cup. Drink and pastry selection were fairly standard, and of high quality. Decor was nice and I can see this place being great for writing, working remote, or reading. Very worth your time to go, especially if you're in walking distance.
