Vicious Biscuit

Crema's Take
“This Mount Pleasant breakfast hotspot is a lively neighborhood gathering spot where Southern comfort food takes center stage, particularly their signature biscuits paired with house-made sauces and a fun butter and jam bar that lets you customize each bite. The energy is undeniably buzzy—expect a crowd, especially on weekend mornings—but the kitchen delivers on classics like their perfectly spiced Fire Bird sandwich and generous portions of sausage, eggs, and creamy grits that keep locals and visitors coming back. Whether you're grabbing coffee and a pastry on the go or settling in for a leisurely family breakfast, Vicious Biscuit nails that warm, unpretentious Southern breakfast experience that Charleston does so well.”

Had one of the best meals ever here. My husband got the Bird and the Belgian. So yummy chicken was cooked perfectly. I got the Old School. Sausage and eggs were good. The grits and biscuit were phenomenal. This place is somewhere you don’t want to skip on.
Busy when we arrived but easily got a table. Biscuits were just “meh”. A little dry but the sauce on the Fire bird was pretty good. Gravy was okay. Nothing to write home about. The fried green tomatoes were also just okay. Overall, if you’re just looking for a quick breakfast, this spot works but have definitely had better.
The line was out the door when we arrived. We’re from Florida and here visiting. This place is right next to the Residence Inn we were staying at so decided to try it. We were in line for probably 15 minutes before we were able to order, and the place was packed. After getting our food, we understood! It was packed and the line was out the door because HOLY CANOLI! The food was delicious and amazing! Fresh, well seasoned, delicious! Definitely worth the wait and time! Highly recommend if you are in the area, and even if you aren’t, it’s worth a drive!
We were super excited to try Vicious Biscuit on our anniversary trip to Charleston. We arrived early on a Sunday morning, and this place was already hopping busy. We took that to be a great sign and got in line. While in line, we looked at the food items ordered by other people and they looked amazing. Unfortunately, when we actually received our biscuits, it was a disappointment. The texture of the biscuit was fine, but the flavors just felt “meh”… and we had even ordered one of the spicy ones, so we were a bit more flavor. If I had to do it all over again, I would visit any location of Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit. Those biscuits were absolutely outstanding! Sure, maybe Vicious had a fancy drizzle on the plate, but I would choose the amazing flavor of Callie’s any day of the week. I will say that the service at Vicious Biscuits was good. While we waited for our food, it was a reasonable wait.
Delicious! The vicious bacon was so flavorful and tender, the biscuit was big and tasty, and the butter and jam bar was such a fun treat. I especially loved the honey butter. We also really enjoyed the fresh-squeezed orange juice. I also loooved the grits with cheddar added. Prices felt fair, too!
