Crema's Take

Grateful Bagel is a beloved neighborhood spot in Sebastopol where fresh, house-made bagels steal the show—particularly their standout lox bagel—and the staff greets you with genuine warmth that makes you want to linger. The casual, friendly vibe makes it perfect for grabbing a quick breakfast sandwich or settling in to meet a friend, with reasonable prices that won't break the bank. Locals consistently rave about the quality and variety, though it's worth noting that gluten-free options share preparation space with regular bagels if that's a concern for you.

Asked if gluten free bagels were made in their own place separately made from other bagels because they are supposed to be gluten free and was told they are made in the same area as where the flour/wheat bagels are made. As someone with celiac I feel they should be better about telling people this because some people won’t ask or they are getting bagels for someone else that has celiac and sees the gluten free and will just buy it without asking because it says gluten free. It was just a little disappointing figuring that out.

Hands down the best bagel place in the Santa Rosa area! Grateful bagel has a wide variety of delicious bagels and sandwiches that are freshly made. Personally, I would highly recommend the lox bagel (which is filled with smoked salmon). Grateful bagel also has fresh croissants, boba tea, and homemade coffee. It is family owned and the employees there are very friendly! It is located in the center of downtown Sebastopol. Highly recommend!

Wow, so good! I was greeted with big smiles and Trever made me to die for breakfast bagel I have had in a long while. Most certainly recommend to try them out if you haven’t already

Service wasn't great at all, only people in there and lady was more concerned with her phone then the one customer. I got 6 bagels to make sandwiches at home, was 20 bucks. Safeway bagels are better and are 5.99 for a bag. You have to have a better atmosphere and better quality to servive.

I had forgotten how great the bagels are at this shop and I was pleased to learn that they are still fantastic. The two women working here are extremely sweet. The prices are quite reasonable. I had the toasted garlic bagel with avocado and it was delicious.
