Kitanda Espresso & Açai
1121 NE 45th St, Seattle, WA
Crema's Take
“Kitanda Espresso & Açai brings Seattle a genuine taste of Brazil with thoughtfully crafted açai bowls and espresso drinks that keep locals coming back, though consistency with temperature control on their signature bowls remains a occasional concern. The café strikes a welcoming balance between quick coffee grabs and leisurely sit-downs, making it equally suited for a solo espresso or a family afternoon over a vibrant acai bowl topped with fresh fruit and granola. While pricing sits on the premium side at $16 per bowl, the quality of ingredients and warm, efficient service make it worth the splurge for specialty coffee and acai lovers in the neighborhood.”

Usually great, but today I received a half-melted room temperature açaí bowl. This is how melted it was after only a 7 minute walk home. (And it’s only 67° today). Disappointed for a $16 bowl.
Came here when craving a good açaí bowl. One of the best ones I’ve had in a long time. The service was fast and easy. Enjoyed a good snack! Will come visit again very soon.
I was in this branch for the first time. I ordered the classic bowl açaí. It came with the dried mango, coconut, granola and fresh banana. They added honey to sweeten up. It would be better if they added fresh fruits instead of the dried fruits. Overall it was pretty good.
8/3/2023 Update: I loved their acai bowls. Something not to be missed! :) This cute Brazilian coffee shop has a wide array of acai bowls to accompany Brazilian coffee. Besides being a monster who likes strong coffee, my redeye coffee was delicious and had the perfect internal temperature. I really liked their food fares(pastries and acai bowls), which I'm eager to try in the future. Customer service could have been better - I wasn't greeted; instead, I had to prompt the cashier. She said, "What can I get for you?" before I received a good morning, which was startling. My interactions positively increased after responding with a good morning to her question. I would return.
Pretty good place and the açaí was great. I ordered the frutas which had lots of fruits and sweet granola underneath. Prices were a little expensive but still reasonable. Staff could’ve been a bit better, seemed like they wanted to just talk and not serve people.
