Crema's Take

Tucked into the U District, this spot brings genuine Cantonese comfort to Seattle with congees, hand-rolled rice rolls, and deeply flavorful noodle soups that keep regulars coming back for lunch specials. The kitchen opens late and welcomes families for everything from quick breakfasts to lingering dinners, though the kitchen occasionally stumbles on order accuracy. If you're craving authentic, soul-warming Hong Kong-style cooking without pretense, the richly braised pork and tender rice rolls here hit the mark.

One of the best u district spots for breakfast lunch and dinner! Congees and rice rolls are always great. And lunch specials worth coming to this restaurant every day

Fantastic spot for comforting, flavorful noodles. I ordered the spicy braised pork trotters noodles and it was outstanding—the pork was incredibly tender, rich, and full of flavor, with just the right amount of spice. The noodles soaked up the sauce perfectly, making every bite satisfying. Definitely coming back to try more dishes!

Would have been a five star if they didn’t give me the wrong food. That being said, I’m just really excited for authentic traditional Cantonese cuisine to come to the area! This is the most authentic Cantonese rice roll I’ve had here, and it’s nothing like the ones you get from dim sum places. That wrinkly, thin, layered rice sheets pleasantly wrap the filling ingredients and also hold the sweet soy sauce effectively, is something you’d find in a hole in the wall, mom and pop corner restaurant/ food stand in my hometown. The wonton soups is a steal for $8, and tastes authentic and it’s perfect for the cold weather. All in all, I’m exited to reorder from this spot!

Love this place—food is authentic and rice rolls are delicious. However, I ordered the pork and preserved egg rice rolls and they forgot the pork LOL. It was already too late to go back so I just dealt with it and ate my plain egg rice rolls 🙁 Also I could tell that the rice rolls themselves were not as fresh as usual because of how broken and brittle they were. Would recommend double checking your takeout order before leaving…

Popcorn chicken supposed to be salty and spicy. They made it taste so bad!!! It tasted like they put a bunch of sugar in it. It doesn't taste like any Taiwanese style popcorn chicken I have had before. I wasted $10.99 and just threw that away. The spicy powder is bitter. I also ordered the mala pork feet rice noodle to go. When I got home, I found out there is no pork feet, only 2 pieces of fish balls in it, soup no flavor and not spicy. This place is horrible. I tried to call them and see if I can get a refund. No answer!!!
