Crema's Take
“Talk Kaimuki is a neighborhood gem in Honolulu where regulars keep coming back for excellent, consistently made espresso drinks and the rare combination of a calm, focus-friendly atmosphere paired with genuinely good breakfast sandwiches and baked goods. The staff genuinely cares about getting your order right and the music hits just right—not too loud, with a cool vibe that makes it equally perfect for a solo study session or catching up with friends over coffee. Fair warning: the sandwich quality can be inconsistent and the shop layout is a bit quirky, but the loyal following suggests that for many, the whole experience outweighs the occasional misstep.”

Sandwiches are dry, coffee is just ok. Most of the staff is friendly but two stars for service because they don’t operate like most coffee shops: There’s 3 people behind the counter not working as team, meaning- you walk up, one person takes your order, that same person makes all your drinks, then you pay. So you end up having to wait to pay because they all want to be the barista. The line gets so long for this reason. Second reason, there’s a girl with blonde curly hair that is incredibly rude and passive aggressive … she has ZERO aloha.
My favorite coffee shop in Kaimuki. Been coming here multiple times a week for years. Great place to study and catch up with friends. Tasty breakfast sandwiches, coffees, and baked goods (especially their muffins). I've had times where coffee wasn't made the best and I would let them know and they would always happily remake for me. so no need to make a bad review- Just ask! The workers here are so Kind. Prices are right and portions are good sized. Love coming here ❤️ I do wish they still did stamp cards or some type of loyalty system tho.
Today I got to try the breakfast at Talk Kaimuki and found it very quiet, relaxing and calm with a tasty meal. The service was friendly and helpful.
Favorite neighborhood coffee shop, service is fast, music is always good, not too loud so I can focus, coffee is excellent and always made exactly how I like it. The quiches and frittata are so delicious. Friendly staff , Lane is awesome. And the owner is also super sweet.
Honestly, this place has a cool vibe, but it’s laid out so weird. There’s almost no room to occupy while waiting in line. Someone takes your order and then makes your order, instead of one person taking the orders and one person making the food. So it took longer than any other coffee places I’ve been to for that reason. The coffee taste burnt and was overall pretty disappointing. I felt like they didn’t actually care about making good quality drinks so much as just getting us out of the line. The ham and cheese roll I got was almost wet just not good at all.
