Virginia's Cafe & Restaurant

Crema's Take
“Virginia's Cafe & Restaurant feels like your favorite grandmother's kitchen come to life, with a warm staff that genuinely enjoys serving you and a menu that inspires return visits just to chase down your next favorite dish. Their breakfast is legendary around Reno—think perfectly executed French dips, pumpkin pancakes that transport you back decades, and omelets that pair beautifully with a morning mimosa. It's a small-on-the-outside, surprisingly spacious gem that's earned its reputation as the go-to breakfast spot through consistency, genuine hospitality, and food that tastes like it's made with real care.”

Every time I come here I try something different . I can’t decide what’s my favorite! Always delicious! The French dip omg! The potato salad definitely my fav! The breakfast just all yum! Add a mimosa. Best service! The staff is happy and they want you happy!
Excellent breakfast, extremely friendly/efficient staff (they are genuinely pleasant and you can tell they like each other). Highly recommend!
I was literally taken back to my grandmother's house along with all the warm and fuzzies that go with it. The only thing comparable to their pumpkin pancakes were those we ate when we went to San Antonio (and they were pretty famous for them.) I'm usually not a fan of bacon, preferring sausage. Though it was the opposite in this case... The cherry smoked bacon had just the perfect flavor, doneness and thickness. What was wonderful though was the excellent service we received. We felt like we had four servers instead of one because everyone was so attentive ( but not overly attentive if you know what I mean) As a Sparksite, its a bit of a drive though I can't wait to grab my mom and take her there. ❤️
My family and I just moved back to reno and this place still stands as my number 1 breakfast place in reno even after being gone for 3.5 years to south carolina. The atmosphere, food, and service is beyond incredible! Words cant simply explain it you just have to come try it for yourself! The country fried steak and eggs, the pancakes, the corn beef hash, down to the coffee all have love put into it! I cant wait to explore more of the menu to see how great everything else is. For the price the portion sizes are big. You can come here and spend 70-100 for a family of five and have left over for your next meal. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who wants food made for the soul. My family and I will keep coming to this place as long as we live in reno.
The place looks small on the outside. Most of the parking was full! When we walk in there is a nice waiting area not many waiting so we had a place to sit. We didn’t wait long . The place inside is decorated county style so cute 😊 The food was good and my omelette had plenty of meat! Although my biscuit wasn’t fluffy maybe was not cook enough. The gravy to me didn’t taste good might have been the type of sausage they use🤔 so I didn’t eat it. Although my spouse likes his gravy and the food! I definitely will return and try their lunch 🥗 do come hungry the portions will feel you up!
