We love this place, come here quite often. The service is really great, very friendly and personable. Unless you get one particular waitress.... she always leaves us aggravated and ruins the morning. We even ask to not be seated in her section.

We’ve been eating here for years, essentially since they opened, and the consistency is what keeps us coming back. No matter how much time passes, the food, service, and overall experience stay solid. We’re plant-based eaters, so our “standard” order is pretty simple and something we get at many breakfast spots, but this place does it exceptionally well. The sourdough toast is always on point, and the grits are easily at the very top of my list. I eat grits everywhere, and these are consistently some of the best — great texture and great flavor every time. Beyond the food, the restaurant is always clean, including the bathrooms, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. It’s clear they take pride in the place and in taking care of their customers. Reliable, delicious, and welcoming — exactly what you want in a neighborhood breakfast spot.

Great food for breakfast and lunch and reasonably priced. They also will cater to adjustments in one’s order. For instance last time we went I ordered my eggs benedict over hash browns instead of the English muffin (see photo). Waitresses are friendly and welcoming. We usually go around lunchtime but some of us order breakfast/brunch and some order off the lunch menu, like this last time when my daughter ordered quesadillas.

Eggsellent Cafe gave us a good breakfast overall. The smoked salmon Benedict was the standout of the meal. The eggs were poached well, the salmon had good flavor, and the hollandaise tied it together nicely. The chicken and waffles were decent but not great. The waffle was fine, but the chicken was dry and not the most flavorful, which kept the dish from really hitting the mark. Coffee was a disappointment. It tasted below average and didn’t have the richness you’d expect from a place that focuses on breakfast. What made the experience worth a return was the service. Our waiter was excellent. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything at the table was taken care of without being overbearing. That level of service really balanced out the weaker parts of the meal. Overall, Eggsellent Cafe is a solid choice for breakfast or brunch. The food has some hits and misses, but the service makes the visit enjoyable. With a few improvements to consistency and coffee quality, it would easily move to five stars.

Tried Eggsellent Cafe in Frisco and had a great experience! I ordered the veggie omelette which came with hash browns and toasted white bread—everything tasted really good. The portions were generous and definitely satisfying. The service was super fast, and the ambiance was simple and cool, making it a nice spot for a relaxed breakfast or brunch. Would definitely recommend and come back again!
