Crema's Take
“This Portland matcha destination has earned a devoted following for their obsessively sourced, vibrant matcha that keeps customers coming back for multiple visits in a single day. Beyond the flagship matcha lattes, their creative signature drinks like salted brown sugar and raspberry vanilla matcha showcase both technical skill and flavor imagination, all delivered by a genuinely warm team that makes even long waits feel worth it. Whether you're a matcha purist or curious explorer, this is the kind of specialty spot that justifies the corner-around line.”

This is probably the best Matcha I have ever had. The quality was top-notch. It was so good that I came back every day during my stay and would even have two matches a day! The salted brown sugar Matcha was my favorite. After that, I really liked the banana Matcha. We also tried the Oreo taro mochi cookies so gooooood. The girls working were so sweet and working fast despite the long lines.
If you are a matcha enthusiast, you need to check this place out. We drove by it earlier this morning and doubled back this afternoon to give it a try. We waited 20 minutes (from the time we got in line to when we left with our drinks), but I think it was a busy time because this morning when we drove by there wasn’t a line out the door like there was now. It was only like a 3-5 minute wait for our 3 drinks from the moment we ordered to when we received it, so the workers did a great job keeping up. The drinks are so good with unique flavors that make the stop worthwhile. The best part is that the syrups and creams aren’t so sweet that they overpower the flavor of the matcha. The only thing that disappointed me was that there was no changing table in the bathroom. If you are a parent with a kiddo, just make sure you change their diaper before you go in if you need to.
Super friendly people. Always always a long line but their friendliness helps. We got coconut matcha and matcha latte. The coconut matcha was okay. The choice of coconut might be non-roasted one and the cream is over powering the matcha taste. I do not recommend it. Though the matcha latte was good. Overall, the taste is very ordinary in my opinion but it is cool to have variety of matcha drinks in one place.
Project Matcha had been on my list of places to try for a while now and I am so glad I was able to visit their cafe. There was a line that was around the corner when we arrived, but surprisingly the line moves very quickly. I was with my sister and we each decided to get two drinks because their drink menu sounded so good and we couldn’t just leave with one drink. I highly recommend visiting project Matcha. Their staff is so friendly and the drinks were so good.
AMAZING matcha!!! I got the raspberry vanilla. It had a delicious cold foam and raspberry sauce which was fresh and homemade! The matcha is high QUALITY with vibrant earthy tones and it wasn’t overly sweet! The baristas were sweet, professional, and sure quick to make our drinks. This is NOT a great place for a study because it gets loud and busy. Also, indoor seating is limited so if you’re coming with a group of more than 3 people, might as well just take it to go. Only thing I’d change is get light ice. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and the matcha was awesome!
