Intelligentsia Coffee

810 Mount Auburn St, Watertown, MA

Crema's Take

This bright, modern Watertown spot excels at both classic espresso drinks and creative signatures like their honey apple latte, with baristas who genuinely know their craft and pull consistently excellent shots. The welcoming atmosphere strikes that perfect balance for lingering over a laptop or meeting a friend, and their pastries—especially the perfectly-spiced cinnamon bun—deserve just as much attention as the coffee itself. Fair warning: it's a special-occasion price point, but reviewers consistently say the quality and care justify every penny.

Delightful chai, delicious flavor and fabulous latte foam. Definitely will return! Pleasant service added to the experience. Bright, clean, modern coffeehouse with comfortable and attractive serveware.

Absolutely amazing! the staff are talented beyond measure, and the coffee is exceptional! I got a flat white, and it was the best darn coffee I've ever had IN MY LIFE! Definitely will be coming back, and will be recommending. Worth every single penny spent!! The pastries are also lovely.

The specialty coffees and Matcha tea were fabulous. Unfortunately the pastries don't offer any gluten-free options, so I had to take a pass. There is a nice positive vibe for the atmosphere, it's quiet but you feel free to talk. There is plenty of off street parking and if the lot is full, there is on street parking available free of charge. I would definitely have a coffee here again, if I were in the area.

Delicious lattes and nice vibe inside- highly recommend the honey apple latte. (pictured along with the black sesame latte). Not to sweet. Only downside is the price - it's worth it for a special occasion but not on the regular. $7-$7.50 for a latte is a bit much. Added bonus though is they carry pastries from La Saison!

Excellent coffee, good aroma as well as taste. The pastries are also outstanding. The cinnamon bun wasn't overwhelming with cinnamon, which is what a lot of other places get wrong, and the pastry was flaky as opposed to dense. The maple scone was also tasty.
