Steeped In Comfort

Picked up the biscuits & gravy for breakfast after tasting just the biscuits last week. Can’t wait for breakfast tomorrow after sampling the sausage gravy. I took a few bites of the sweet potato pie with the Italian meringue & it is phenomenal! I love this place. The owners are great & always friendly.

The food served at the high tea was next level delicious. The tea was very tasty as well. I will definitely return, though I will say the place needs an interior decor update - the interior of the place doesn’t match the quality of the food and tea.

We had the loveliest experience. The savory and the sweet options were tasty and plentiful. But the tea was amazing. It came hot and perfectly steeped. Each of us got our own pots and we might have sloshed when we got up to go. Highly recommend to anyone that is looking for a nice afternoon with friends.

Today was my 1st experience going to an afternoon tea and this place was phenomenal! They are the most amazing bakers. They make everything from scratch including the jams and whipped cream. It was well worth the price.

Note: currently take out only. If you want a lovely treat or homemade bite - definitely worth a stop! During my visit, they had a limited amount of fresh baked goods and everything I sampled was excellent: a moist, decadent lemon blueberry scone with icing, a large sugar cookie and slab of banana bread. A standout was the soup - a cream of chicken, piping hot, and very satisfying with its homemade goodness. I also had a yummy egg salad sandwich... It was hard to choose between that, the chicken salad and turkey swiss. As small businesses still recovering from covid realities, Steeped in Comfort has weathered the storm being take out only. The owner is smart to figure out how to re-open the tea room successfully with quality intact. She is hoping to start doing Sunday tea services in the near future. It's a charming space. I wish them all the best - I'll be picking up lunch and treats again soon!
