Crema's Take
“This intimate Chinatown gem prioritizes precision and care in every cup, earning praise for exceptionally smooth, balanced espresso drinks that let quality beans shine—particularly their celebrated cappuccinos made with Straus barista milk that froths into silky perfection. The tiny outdoor-only setup with standing room and a small bench creates an unpretentious, grab-and-go vibe perfect for sipping specialty drinks like their creative ginger latte while you're on the move through the neighborhood. Baristas here clearly take their craft seriously, sourcing from roasters like Sintf Frank and crafting each drink with meticulous attention to flavor balance.”

The best cappuccino I’ve had in SF. Incredibly smooth with zero bitterness or harsh acidity. Super fragrant and well balanced. They use Straus barista milk, which micro-foams beautifully and adds a natural sweetness that really shines. The beans they use are excellent and clearly high quality. Bonus points for the cable cars rolling by out front. Makes for genuinely epic photos while you sip.
Visited The Coffee Movement yesterday. It’s a very small spot with no indoor seating or restroom—just an outdoor standing area and a small bench. I ordered an anericano which is roasted at Sint Frank Coffee as their house blend, and it was incredibly smooth and delicious. They offer oat milk only as non dairy option. The only downside was that I wish the coffee had been a bit hotter. That said, the staff were absolutely wonderful—so kind and welcoming. If I’m ever in the area again, I’d definitely stop by. The Coffee Movement in San Francisco is such a gem. The coffee is the perfect blend — not too sweet, not too bitter, just incredibly smooth. I got the ginger latte and it tasted amazing. They were also able to accommodate dietary restrictions and made mine with almond milk, which I really appreciated. My partner got a cappuccino with a sprinkle of chocolate on top, and it was really nice as well. Cozy spot, great service, and genuinely delicious drinks. Highly recommend stopping by!also there not a lot of indoor seating spot so if you’re cold dress warm you seat outside
☕️♥️ There’s a coffee shop I always go to whenever I’m in San Francisco, but this time I stayed longer, so I tried Movement Coffee, which someone recommended to me! I decided to get their special latte, and it was so good! Even on a weekday morning, there was a line of people waiting. I also bought some coffee beans ☺️ I’ll definitely stop by again next time if I get the chance. I was so happy to find another great coffee spot, though it’s a bit of a shame there aren’t really any seats to sit and enjoy it.
The Coffee Movement in Chinatown is such a gem. It’s a tiny spot but the baristas make every drink with so much care, and you can really taste the difference. I tried their latte and it was smooth, rich, and beautifully balanced. The vibe is friendly and relaxed, with outdoor seating that makes it a nice place to hang out for a bit. It feels more like an experience than just grabbing a quick coffee. Definitely one of the best stops in SF for coffee lovers.
