This is such a cool local gem! Huntsville is lucky to have this little coffee shop attached to Compass Rose Lodge! My coffee was SO good, they have such cool little knick knacks and refrigerated drinks which could cater to the guests at the lodge! Next time I am getting a pastry!
This place is no good. It is way overpriced and the service is terrible. If you want to pay $6 for a Kroger muffin or pretzel that was made last month this is the place for you. I waited for someone for like 10 minutes and could here them in the back doing something. I rang the bell and they came out to tell me to wait and then went back in there for like 10 more minutes. I didn't feel like wasting more of my time waiting for overpriced garbage, so I left. What a joke. It is worth the drive to Ogden to get some fresh and actually good food. Huntsville deserves better options than some place that rips locals off. Do better. The location does NOT give you the right to raise prices this high. It is gross.
Stopped by First Lift Coffee after our 60 mile bike ride. Friendly staff and excellent accomodations. We chose to sit inside but there is plenty of seating outside.
A very surprising cup of black coffee for myself and an utterly fantastic, very fresh tasting Lavender Latte for my fiancé. The breakfast sandwhich also came out much tastier than anticipated, and I can certainly recommend it, *if* you are ready to cough up nearly 40 for two large drinks and two meals. The atmosphere is quaint and very intimate, with no conversation being private, you can get a little sense of community as if picking up your morning brew from your favorite downtown espresso shop. All in all, it's a bit pricey for what you're getting, but that's a necessity in a tourist town. First Lift packs in all the modern ammenities you'd expect from a resort, but all at the bottom of the hill. I'll certainly be back again.
This place was recommended to us and I’m glad we went. They have great coffee and tea. The coffee shop is attached to the hotel but not part of the lobby. Great for quick snacks and sandwiches as well. The hotel is really cool to check out even if you don’t stay there. Staff is super nice and friendly.
