Philz Coffee

I swear some of these reviewers are so critical. SoCal life will do that to you...turn you more snobby. "OMG I love coming here, Tantalizing Turkish is my fav, 4 stars". Um, what? Not 5? "They don't make my fav XYZ coffee, 1 star". Bro, stop it, get some help. Let's put it this way: we moved to Phoenix 6 years ago and every time we come to San Diego we ALWAYS make sure to stop by Philz (among other places). Yes we have some good coffee spots locally, but we also love Philz! Favorite: Mint Mojito, Ether, Philharmonic If Philz decides to make it out to AZ, I hear Gilbert is a great place to go 😉

I decided to pop in here today since I was feeling a bit worn out 😩 and needed a little boost to get energized. I went for the Philtered Soul with hazelnut ☕ and it was quite delicious! Definitely hit the spot! 👍🏽😊

Philz coffee served excellent bagels snd coffee, croissant with super fast service snd friendly staff! Also, the prices are very low compared to other similar stores. I tried Jalapeño cheddar, everything bagel with the former standing out as the best I ever had. Pistachio croissant was exquisite in taste with a crumbly outer shell.

It was our first time here and hubby and I like to try new places. For first timers, it may be difficult to order as their menu are not too clear. I advised to check their website and you can order directly and set modifications to your liking. We usually like lattes but that was not part of an option when we took our orders. We tried the decaf coffee and coffee with cream but not a fan. A good place to try but need more staff training for taking orders and explaining their menus.
