A Cup Of Joe
1309 W 18th St, Chicago, IL
Crema's Take
“A Cup Of Joe in Chicago brings a cozy, welcoming vibe perfect for settling in with your laptop or catching up with friends, bolstered by genuinely friendly staff and an inclusive atmosphere. Their creative specialty drinks like mazapan lattes and cold brew with vanilla-cinnamon cold foam show real ambition, though consistency seems to be a challenge—some visitors rave about their inventive sandwiches and thoughtful flavor combinations, while others have experienced poorly executed orders. If you catch them on a good day, the reasonable prices and fresh pastry selection make this a worthwhile neighborhood stop worth revisiting.”

Honestly really enjoyed this spot, the prices are generally reasonable. I got an iced chai and a chocolate croissant. The croissant is a little messy and the bag was ripping very easily with me barely touching it. But I really enjoyed the chai, its honestly one of the best iced chais I’ve had in a long time that didn’t taste like watered down milk and water. It had a good amount of flavor, good baristas. They were really nice too and answered my questions. Its small in there but it was easy to talk, service was fast, I liked people watching outside the window. Everything I ordered was yummy
Ordered a mazapan latte with oat milk and received some watery concoction….taste like water with crushed mazapan. Had to go to a different coffee shop to get a new order. For $8 I’m very disappointed.
I’ve gone to a cup of joe in Pilsen and their drinks never miss, but finally tried this location and their drink was not made well at all. I ordered a regular iced latte and it was full milk/ water. No espresso taste at all. And this is coming from someone who is not a picky 😔
Cozy neighborhood spot with unique drink and food options. Both of the sandwiches we got were very delicious and something we'd never seen done before. Great spot to stop if you're anywhere nearby.
Got a Cold Brew with a vanilla, cinnamon cold foam. But it was not an easy choice, as they have so many great and fresh options. Staff was great, ambiance is inclusive, laptop and reading friendly. A lot of outlets to charge your devices. Stop by to get some work done of if you need a great cup of Joe!
