Meander Coffee & Matcha

What a nice new addition to the area! The raspberry matcha was delicious—the syrup is not overly sweet so you can still taste the matcha which is proportioned perfectly with the milk. My boyfriend is a huge coffee snob and he was impressed with the traditional macchiato he ordered—in his words, “this is on par with what I make for myself.” Note that this place is inside an existing bar/brewery so that’s more the vibe, but they do have plenty of places of sit and some board games. Absolutely worth the try!

Fantastic coffee and matcha offerings!! Tried the black sesame latte they have today and it is definitely a new favorite!! Owners are simply good people as well!!

We tried the earl grey matcha and black sesame hojicha. Both are excellent. The matcha was smooth and flavorful, and you can tell there’s earl grey! The hojicha has a nice tea flavor and the black sesame adds a lot of depth to the drink. There were plenty of people hanging out inside!

Located in the heart of downtown Salem INSIDE Couch Dog Brewing Company this hidden gem is a must visit! I've tried many things on their menu and there's something for everyone! I personally enjoy the pumpkin spice latte with their handmade pumpkin syrup and oat milk. Everything can be adjusted to your taste and the staff are kind, welcoming, and very knowledgeable about the area. Whether you need to get a pickup for the day, a stop during your travels about the Witch City, or a family and dog friendly spot to relax, this place is your new spot!

I’ve been coming to Meander Coffee since they first opened inside Couchdog, and it’s easily become one of my favorite spots in Salem. I’m a huge matcha fan, and theirs is perfection - smoothly whisked, balanced, and never bitter. My husband’s more of a coffee guy, and he swears their PSL (don't knock it 🤣) is one of the best around. They make their own syrups in-house (the raspberry is my personal favorite - not too sweet, just the right hint of fruit). The whole vibe inside the brewery is ideal for working in the mornings: calm, bright, and friendly, with plenty of convenient street parking nearby. Whether you’re grabbing a quiet morning drink or settling in with your laptop, Meander is such a gem - thoughtful drinks, great people, and the perfect Salem atmosphere.
