Granny's Donuts
2340 E Pacific Coast Hwy, Long Beach, CA
Crema's Take
“This cash-only, family-owned institution in Long Beach has earned a devoted following for its honest, nostalgic donuts that taste like they're straight out of a 1970s neighborhood bakery—reviewers rave about the old-fashioned varieties and honey bran muffins with genuine affection. The friendly staff and rock-bottom prices make it a genuine quick-grab destination where fresh pastries come out faster than you'd expect, though the tight parking and traffic might test your patience getting there. It's the kind of place where locals keep coming back not for Instagram-worthy aesthetics, but for the real thing: quality donuts and a warm, unpretentious vibe that feels like visiting a beloved grandmother's kitchen.”

Great donuts and no wait time! Donuts are cheap and when I went they came out nice and fresh. I’ve been to Granny’s a couple of times and have to recommend getting a sprinkle cake and original glazed cake donut. Wish I had pictures to share but they are usually gone by the time you walk out the door!
This place is awesome! The staff are incredibly friendly, the donuts are tasty, and their prices are great. Seriously top notch service. Check them out!
They have the best honey brain muffins in the world.. ps need to upgrade on coffee perks, outdated family own help by buying local.. Lock doors, Cash Only
The best donuts I have ever eaten in my life. My mom said the old fashioned donuts tasted like the ones she used to make 50 years ago at the donut shop where she worked, and I would happily eat 6+ donuts from here every day for the rest of my life. The apple fritter was spectacular, and every donut was better than I hoped it could be. My waistline can only be grateful I don't live within a day's drive, or I might just swing by every day.
I was excited to try this place. I've driven by it several times. It's not easy to get to with traffic and lack of parking so it was a stretch to get there. The donuts didn't look particularly different than anything you can get at a grocery store, nothing fancy, but I like grocery store donuts so that's okay. But it turns out they're cash only. Of course they tell me there's an ATM nearby. Okay so now the price of your donuts just went up with the price of an ATM fee? I don't carry cash. I'm not interested in carrying cash. I haven't had to pay cash for anything in years.. I'm not interested in paying an ATM fee to get your donuts when there's a thousand stores nearby, Long Beach is known for its donuts, that take other means of pay. Not to mention we all know the reason you take cash only is to avoid taxes. Taxes that I don't get to avoid. That I have to pay for you to live in this city in this state. But you think you don't have to pay them? I don't think so. You want to run a cash-only business, you shouldn't benefit from the taxes the rest of us are paying. You benefit greatly from the taxes the people buying your donuts pay. You should be contributing as well.
