Crema's Take

Polaris Cafe feels like a verdant escape in the middle of Emeryville, with a gorgeous greenhouse atrium that's equally suited for focused study sessions or leisurely meetings over beautifully crafted drinks. They spotlight light, fruity espresso from the nearby McGlaughlin roaster alongside creative house specialties like the White Rabbit and inventive tea drinks, while their breakfast burritos—generously stuffed with eggs, veggies, and sausage—have earned serious devotion from regulars. The team here clearly cares about making you feel welcomed and comfortable, whether you're grabbing coffee quickly or settling in for the afternoon.

What to expect

Strong matcha and tea selection, with creative signature drinks, good cold brew. A slow-sit, laptop-friendly, quick-grab spot, good for meetings. Full breakfast and light food on the menu. Family friendly.

One of the best breakfast burritos of my life. Lots of eggs and veggies and they didn't skimp on the sausage. $16 is pricey but so are most things in California. Come here if you get a chance- you won't regret it.

Love this little cafe! They turn out some delicious flavors. I get the breakfast burrito and it’s fire every time. So many yummy options for lunch too! The order ahead option is great too. Overall really cool atmosphere too with small little nick nacks and sauces to purchase.
