Crema's Take

Tucked into a Sparks garage just across from UNR, La Victoria punches well above expectations with fearless experimental drinks and consistently excellent espresso that keeps both students and neighbors coming back. The crew here balances speed with genuine warmth, making this intimate neighborhood spot equally suited for a quick caffeine hit or lingering over conversation and their surprisingly good food. There's a real charm to the place—nothing pretentious, just skilled baristas who clearly care about what they're making, from their praised mochas to that vanilla syrup that apparently deserves its own fanbase.

Best coffee place in walking distance of UNR. The service was faster than other nearby cafés and their mocha is excellent!

You see a coffee shop in a garage and you think it'll be just okay, but this is easily the best coffee shop I've ever been to. They aren't afraid to experiment, and their experiments are actually really good. They figured out how to make a Hot Cocoa but vanilla instead of chocolate - and its *really* good. I've ordered something different every time I've gone here and have yet to be disappointed. They use compostable cups and straws, so I don't feel like I'm wasting. The only thing I'd critique is that their breakfast burrito is meh, but genuinely there is no better coffee/drink spot for miles. Please go here, it will be worth it. EDIT: I tried some of their food again a bit ago, and its improved since I originally reviewed this. Its gone from meh to pretty good (and they have sauces now!)

Literally a neighborhood coffeehouse. A true garage coffee shop unlike any I’ve seen in the Reno. Smooth coffee and relaxing and fun location right across the street from the University of Nevada. My wife ordered the Hawaiian (with salted caramel and coconut) and I ordered drip coffee. The specialty handcrafted drinks are unique, and I haven’t seen elsewhere. They also have a full menu of traditional Lattes, matcha, and espressos and teas. We later purchased a Jamaica which is a sparkling iced drink that was refreshing. Atmosphere is modern, colorful and inviting. Both inside and outside eating. There are not many seats however, and the students can fill it up quickly so you may have to grab and go and walk around, or simply wait. Overall a nice college district vibe or bicycle rest stop, or even meetup for a small group of friends.
