Crema's Take
“The Table is a locally owned Springfield gem that nails the hard-to-achieve balance of feeling both cozy and intentional, with a warmly efficient flow that gets you seated quickly without rushing you away. Beyond solid traditional coffee drinks and pastries, they've built a reputation for generous, reasonably-priced breakfast and brunch bowls that draw visitors from neighboring towns, all served in an atmosphere that folks consistently describe as genuinely beautiful and hospitable rather than just Instagram-pretty.”

The atmosphere was lovely! Homey and hospitable while also feeling honored and relaxed. When you walk in your immediately in line to order at the front and the hostess helps to seat you at an open table. Since we were a party of two we got pulled ahead to skip the line since there were bigger parties in line ahead of us who were waiting on tables. The food was delightful! The corn dip was slightly too salty for our taste but came out quickly and was satisfying. Having a lime wedge would likely have perfect balanced it as a dish. The pork wings were 6 riblets that we could choose the cherry, peach or had and half sauces. The cherry was my favorite and had an earthy flavor that made it perfectly balanced. The peach sauce was slightly spicy for me but my husband loved it! We both kept the sauces to add to our entrees. I had the harvest bowl and the flavors were divine. Adding the cherry bbq sauce was nice to add a little juiciness. Feta, sweet potato, Brussels sprouts, steak, craisins, nuts. SO yummy. My only off put from it is that the roasted veggies had parts that had over roasted and dehydrated in the oven (like they hadn’t been flipped halfway through) that were not chewable. But the flavors were so perfect I would order it again in a heartbeat! My husband’s carnitas tacos were yummy with the limes and salsa verde to dip or pour over the top. The staff was so friendly! The hostess (possibly the owner?) was helpful and genuinely sweet in making us feel right at home. You can tell when the staff enjoys what they do and feel comfortable. This was that kind of place!
Been wanting to try this new, locally owned restaurant for a while now. Arrived right about 11am and was able to order quickly and find a spot to sit. We tried the Harvest Bowl and the Chicken Strips. Both dishes were really tasty. The steak in the harvest bowl was cooked perfectly and seasoned really well. The bowl normally comes with sweet potatoes but they were able to swap those out for house fries due to an allergy. Chicken strips were served with 2 sauces. The Comeback Sauce is really good. Prices are a little higher on some items but given the portion sizes of each dish, they are pretty reasonable. I’ve seen multiple reviews ding the fact you have to get your own drink at a soda fountain. Maybe during peak busy hours it gets a little congested doing that but we had no issues at all. The seating is a little cramped in areas and some of the chairs are not super comfortable due to having been worn down. But the decor is really pretty and they have a patio area that will be great during warmer temps. Will definitely be back to try out some breakfast items. I wasn’t sure if you could order breakfast all day or not as their menu is altogether. After 11am it’s lunch only and then they have a few supper items available after 4:30pm only. Looking forward to trying a new dish next time around!
My friend and I were visiting from Joplin and decided to stop at The Table for brunch, and I’m so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere immediately stood out. It was beautiful, warm, and truly unique. You can tell a lot of heart and intention has gone into every detail of the space. I ordered the avocado toast and a caramel latte, and both were absolutely delicious. We grabbed a table by the fire, which made the whole experience feel even more cozy and relaxed. It was the perfect spot to sit, catch up, and really enjoy our food. By the time we were leaving, the line had grown quite long and it was clear they were gearing up for a busy lunch rush. We must have timed it just right because we were able to fully enjoy the space without feeling rushed. Overall, such an enjoyable experience. It’s always special to find a place that feels thoughtfully curated and welcoming. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Springfield.
The place looks amazing. Very friendly staff. Good was very good. We ordered street tacos, pasta bowl and health bowl which was all very good. Pork wings was ok. We will definitely come back to try something else.
This place has the best atmosphere of almost any place I have been. The prices are extremely reasonable! Under 50 for two people with 2 entrees, two drinks, and an appetizer. The street corn is such a taste bud treasure! I almost ordered one to take home for later. I love the way they take your order when you walk in, and you fill your drinks. Gives more focus to the kitchen and the food. Very beautiful relaxing place to chill. Plenty of seating inside and outside. The street tacos were not as good as I anticipated, so I’m excited to try some other entrees. I think I just have an expectation for that ghetto authentic street taco, because they were good, just not what I expected. Hubbys Cajun pasta was on point! And I’ll never get over that street corn!
