Crema's Take

This Seattle gem strikes that rare balance between serious espresso craftsmanship and genuine hospitality, where your cortado might feature a beautifully nuanced single-origin Indonesian bean while the barista sneaks treats to your dog. The creative signature drinks like their Wild Flower Honey and Cinnamon latte feel thoughtfully composed rather than gimmicky, and the "coffee with a cause" mission permeates a welcoming atmosphere that's equally suited for lingering over pour overs or quick specialty sips. It's the kind of place where coffee knowledge runs deep but the vibe stays warm and unpretentious.

Enjoyed an incredible Wild Flower Honey and Cinnamon latte! Service was seamless and the barista gave a treat to the dog of the customer behind me. Overall pleasant atmosphere. I am very intrigued by the latte art workshop.

I had an amazing experience at Coffee Tap in Seattle! Their motto ‘coffee with a cause’ really stands out. I enjoyed a delicious cortado, and they even offered sparkling water on the side. The staff was incredibly friendly, and they even gave me a free umbrella when it started raining. Highly recommend supporting this place!

We live nearby and really wanted to support this place, but our experiences have been disappointing. The first time we tried it, the cold brew was honestly pretty bad and the service felt off-putting. They do not accept tips and charge a little more to provide a living wage, which I respect, but that should come with basic friendliness and professionalism. We figured anyone can have a bad day and gave it a few weeks before trying again. The second visit was no better. The cold brew still fell far below the quality of the many other coffee shops in the neighborhood, and the service left the same uncomfortable impression. I want to support a local business, but with the taste and the way customers are treated, I cannot see myself coming back.

They understand good coffee here. Had a single origin Indonesian bean in a cortado and it was one the best cortados I’ve had! Staff was excellent, comfortable to stay awhile, simple but nice atmosphere with a few plants and a couch.
