I have been going to the Refuge since 2016. They have always welcomed us with open arms. We no longer go as much as we used to, but it's still a wonderful place to go just to relax or get something to eat. We provided lunch, too, before when we them we were able to to give back. Lgbtq- friendly in name only. My coming out story is deeply intertwined with this place and you will find all the same trappings of a toxic religious environment here. Leadership protects its own and takes little to no responsibility for the harm they cause. If you're looking for social supports as an lgbtq person, I would look elsewhere, especially if you are healing from religious/spiritual trauma.
