Penn Cafe

Crema's Take
“Tucked into a repurposed downtown Chester building, Penn Cafe strikes that rare balance between serious espresso craft and genuine community gathering spot, with authentically curated art, thriving plants, and a Black owner-operated vibe that draws everyone from remote workers to friends catching up over exceptional lattes. The team's warm hospitality pairs beautifully with quality coffee drinks and surprisingly elevated food—think shrimp and grits alongside breakfast sandwiches—making it feel less like a caffeine pit stop and more like discovering a best-kept secret that somehow made it to the top tier of specialty cafes worldwide.”

Exceptional diamond in the rough. Beautiful atmosphere, outstanding customer service and excellent food.
Stopped in to grab breakfast on the way back from Philly. It's a beautiful location with a very friendly and accommodating staff. We had lattes, a waffle, and a breakfast sandwich. The breakfast sandwich was good, the waffle was doughy and didn't have a lot of flavor. The lattes were decent. We hope to try it again sometime.
Been to hip coffee cafes/lounges around the world. This place is easily one of the top three. Trippy cool, chill. The art is authentic and the plants are alive. Great coffee, friendly people, and awesome staff. Check out the back room too! Highly recommend.
On a visit to my hometown I discovered this is gem. Located in the re-purposed building in downtown Chester. The ambience and food was first class. I had the shrimp and grits, and I will come back to try the items on the menu during my next visit. I pray that you have success, and I pray that you get support. Welcome
Dope! Cafe black owner and the Devore is exceptional! Along with the food and customer service. Did I mention solid Wi-Fi? My go to for work or just a meet up with the homies. 5 out of 5
