Royal Donuts

633 S Arroyo Pkwy, Pasadena, CA

Crema's Take

This Pasadena institution has perfected the art of the humble donut with fresh, in-house creations that keep locals coming back—think pillowy-soft glazed rings and creative flavors like jalapeño ham and cheese croissants alongside made-to-order juices. The owner-run charm and genuinely friendly service create a welcoming spot where families and coffee lovers alike feel at home, even if the cozy, vintage interior shows its years of devoted donut-making. It's the kind of place where mastery speaks louder than polish, and every bite proves they've been doing this right for decades.

Great donut place. I just picked up some delicious ham and cheese croissants with jalapenos on the side as well as a maple bar and cute Valentine's Heart donut. They're fantastic. The very friendly owner threw in some donut holes too. I'll definitely be coming back! Highly recommend

I’m new to the area and stopped in for a donut two weeks ago. The donuts are freshly made in house and delicious. The juices are made to order. The owners are super sweet. I was confused why it’s always empty when I go, and figured it’s because it had been temporarily closed. It’s under new ownership and reopened on January 9, 2026. If you’re in the area I highly recommend this place for its donuts and juices!

It seems like this donut shop has been around forever, it is old and kind of worn down inside but that also means they have mastered their craft because the donuts are amazing. They do not have a super large selection like some other donut shops which is nice because each one has been perfected. The staff are nice, but the interior really needs some work it was quite dirty.
