Uncommon Grounds
180 Delaware Ave, Delmar, NY
Crema's Take
“Uncommon Grounds in Delmar trades on the chain's reputation for hearty bagels and espresso-focused drinks, though this location seems to still be finding its footing compared to its sister shops. The warm, wood-lined interior creates an inviting spot for lingering over coffee and breakfast, and when the kitchen hits its stride, the Lumberjack sandwich and chewy bagels are genuine reasons to return. Consistency appears to be the current challenge here, so it's worth visiting with patience as this newer space settles in.”

I love uncommon grounds and have been to many locations. This one unfortunately does not have the quality the other ones do. Our lattees were cappuccinos and our bagels were undercooked. We have been back twice and both times had the same experience.
The Lumberjack is my go-to breakfast sandwich and it’s a great way to start your day. Looking forward to seeing if their hours extend into the evening like other locations.
Big, fat, chewy bagels are the draw for us. We look forward to sampling the various offerings. This new space is warm and welcoming. The exterior is in contrast to the calm, wood cladded walls, pillars and booths. The owners did an excellent job transforming the mess that was Bruegger's Bagels.
We had called the Delmar store to ask about ordering online or ordering by Phone. When they picked up Know-one said anything, They just put the phone down You could hear other customers ordering and the Cashier responded. This happened for over a hour. I was thinking about driving down to tell them to pick up or hang up
Got a salt bagel with cream cheese and it came with the saddest smear of cream cheese, never had this problem at other locations
