Marylou's Coffee
1481 Iyannough Rd, Hyannis, MA
Crema's Take
“Marylou's is a flavor-forward coffee destination where creative signature drinks like the Boy Scout and French Vanilla reign supreme, drawing loyal visitors back again and again. The tiny shop buzzes with a family-friendly energy and quick service, though fair warning: this is a place for those who love imaginative, indulgent coffee creations over straightforward espresso. If you're in Hyannis craving something fun and flavorful with genuinely warm staff, it's absolutely worth the line.”

Definitely the best coffee in town! Visited three times while here on my five day vacation. Tried the Boy Scout flavor and that’s all I got the whole time. The staff were super friendly and everything was made perfectly. Can’t wait until next Christmas when I go back.
So many flavors to choose from! I’ve tried both the hot and iced in French vanilla as well as toasted coconut and OMG I wish we had a Marylou’s in CT! I make sure to stop here at Marylou’s in Hyannis whenever I am out this way! Great staff and service and the coffee is SOOOOO DELICIOUS! My daughter had the iced French toast coffee and she loved it! Grab a bag of coffee to go or the Kcups from Marylou’s! They also have great breakfast baked goods at this location!
I was passing through and looking for coffee. I always prefer supporting the local coffee shop so ended up here. Unfortunately this seems to be a sugary coffee drink shop, not a coffee shop. I decided on nitro cold brew since I didn’t want a sugary flavored drink. Well something is wrong with their nitro setup as there was no nitro in their nitro. No silky cascading bubbles or any head whatsoever. And they put ice in the cup which you never do with nitro. I figured I’d try it anyway, but had to give it back and ask them to toss it. Something was very off with the taste of the nitro. It wasn’t just lacking the foam, something was wrong. I asked for regular cold brew instead, and they obliged, and while it was passable, it was some of the worst cold brew I’ve had, and I drink a fair amount of cold brew. Overall this isn’t my kind of coffee shop, but if you’re going to have a whole separate kegerator of both flat and nitro cold brew, it should taste a lot better than it did today. So hopefully they can correct it.
Cute coffee shop - prefer supporting small businesses in this area as opposed to large chains. There are VERY many different flavors to choose from, it’s almost overwhelming. Service was quick. The actual flavor of the coffee is just alright, but like I said, there are MANY options to choose from so I’m sure there is something for everyone.
The line was pretty far out the door when we went. I didn't get coffee, but from what I heard from the people who did, it wasn't worth the line. I, however, LOVED my Passion fruit Twisted tea with Immunity shot! I also got a chocolate pound cake that was yummy. The place has a small selection of snacks and other kinds of drinks to choose from. I think others liked their coffee, but not before asking MANY times to add another pump of cream or milk to it. The place is also small itself, which is cute, but only if people are kind to each other while waiting. The place attracts some snobby college kids (sorry, have to be honest). But the music is fun and workers seem to have a good system down. Morale could be better.
