Crema's Take
“Homebody is Albuquerque's first dedicated matcha café, and they're doing creative, quality-forward drinks that go far beyond the basics—think ube matcha and coconut matcha concoctions that feel like little discoveries. The baristas genuinely care about getting the balance right, whether you want a traditional preparation or something sweeter, and the welcoming atmosphere makes it the kind of place where you'll want to linger with friends or settle in with a book. Fair warning if you're matcha-sensitive: these drinks lean dessert-forward and sweet, so they're perfect for when you want an indulgent treat rather than a delicate, grassy cup.”

I’ve been craving the ube matcha drink we had in Vegas a couple of months ago, so when we were driving through Albuquerque I did a quick Google search to see if anyone made something similar. We tried the recommended Amalie, but honestly — Homebody’s ube matcha is even better. You guys deserve way more reviews and stars. We stopped into Homebody’s today (March 5th) around 11am. I didn’t catch the barista’s name, but I wanted to give her a shoutout. She was the only one working and getting absolutely rocked with orders, yet she stayed calm, pleasant, and super accommodating the whole time. We ordered the ube matcha and made a few adjustments — mine with coconut milk, both with extra ube foam and less sweet. She nailed it perfectly. It was creamy, well balanced, and not overly sweet. It easily goes up there as one of our favorite versions we’ve tried on our cross-country trip hunting down ube matcha drinks. Great drink, great service, and definitely worth the stop if you’re in Albuquerque.
I got the banana matcha and had a sip of my friend’s coconut. Both were super yummy! It was such a cute shop and the baristas were super helpful
The BEST matcha i’ve had in the entire state! Albuquerque’s new and first matcha cafe, we needed something like this here! The employees are all so kind, and the atmosphere is so welcoming! Definitely a top 3 study spot, The cutest cafe!
Great quality matcha and nice variety of options but super sweet! It tastes like dessert and not like a regular matcha. It’s nice to get for a sweet treat but beware that you can get a sugar rush
introduced out of town fam and friends to this place and they loved it. i am a matcha fiend and i would recommend this place to people. they got a decent ratio of matcha to milk and it’s not overly sweet which i appreciate. the matcha flavor is perfection :3
